The master had called a meeting, it was a bright sunny day...well..not so sunny for Giyuu. He felt miserable. He didn't really want to live. Ever since Tsutako and Sabito's death, he always kept questioning his existance. "Why was I the one that survived? Why did they have to die and not me? I should've been able to save them. I really am useless." He thought. As Giyuu was walking towards the mansion, he heard the one voice that he always despised.
"Ne ne, Tomioka-san, how are you today on this fine morning?" Shinobu said, keeping a warm smile on her face.
Giyuu didn't respond and just kept walking. "Tomioka-san, how about I walk with you?" Shinobu continued speaking while Giyuu ignored her.
"You know, this is why no one likes you Tomioka-san, because you almost never talk to any of us!" She said while trying to keep a smile on her face.
"I'm not disliked by people Kocho." Giyuu responded, trying to hide his annoyance.

As Shinobu and Giyuu made their way there, they were greeted by the other hashiras. "You guys finally made it, geez, what took you two so long? It's very unflashy to be late." Uzui said as he sarcastically rolled his eyes.
The other hashiras quickly engaged into a conversation about random things, like their previous missions and stuff like that. Giyuu was standing away from the group zoning out. Sanemi noticed this and got annoyed. "Oi, bastard, are you just going to stand there until the meeting starts?" Right when Sanemi was about to say something else, he got cut off by the two Ubuyashiki siblings that appear at every meeting.
"Oyakata-sama has arrived." They said in unison. The hashiras bowed down as Kagaya was being assisted by the two siblings. "Good morning Oyakata-sama, I wish you many more years to come." Sanemi greeted. "Aw, I wanted to greet the master!" Mitsuri thought. As the meeting went on, Giyuu was zoning out a bit until Kagaya started giving out missions.
"Giyuu and Sanemi, you two have a mission at Tsurui village in Takamatsu. There have been reports from other demon slayers stating that a lower moon demon has been disguising as a human," Kagaya stated calmly. "Since Takamatsu is far from here, I've already paid for your train tickets. The train will leave at exactly 6:17 pm." After the meeting ended, Giyuu went back to his estate.
"Since me and Shinazugawa have a mission together, maybe I can perhaps befriend him. But what could I do?" Giyuu then remembered that Sanemi's favorite food was ohagi, so he decided to make some for him. For the past 20 minutes, Giyuu was busy making ohagi, he wanted it to be perfect. He kept wondering how Sanemi would act when he handed him the ohagi.

It had been an hour since the meeting, and they were supposed to leave for their mission in 15 minutes. Sanemi got ready for the mission, and then he made his way to Giyuu's estate. "I never thought I'd find myself at his doorstep." He muttered under his breath. Sanemi knocked on the door and waited for Giyuu to open the door, still annoyed by his own actions. Giyuu then opened the door.
"Shinazugawa? I thought we were meeting up at the train station?" Giyuu made a confused look. "Why is he looking at me like that? And why does he look kinda cute..? What am I THINKING.." Sanemi's face slightly turned into a light shade of pink. "J-Just shut up already! Also, we have a train to catch, so hurry up bitch." Sanemi and Giyuu soon left the water estate and made their way to the train station.

"I wonder if I should give him the ohagi now...what if he rejects it though? What would I do then? If he does accept it, what would I do next?" Giyuu kept worrying if Sanemi would reject his friendly gift. "Maybe I should give it to him now." Giyuu made up his mind and built up the courage to give the small bag of ohagi to him. "Shinazugawa, I, um, made something for you."
"What is it?" Sanemi replied with a slightly annoyed tone. Giyuu handed Sanemi the small bag of ohagi. "I knew that you liked ohagi...so..I made some for you." Giyuu said shyly. Sanemi stared at him for a few moments before accepting the ohagi. "Thanks..I guess.." Sanemi said nervously.
They kept walking for who knows how long, and then they lost track of time. "I wonder what time it is..hopefully we didn't miss the train. Maybe Shinazugawa knows." "Shinazugawa, do you know what time it is?" Giyuu asked. "How would I know? Let's just ask some random person I guess." Sanemi replied. They then saw an elderly woman sitting outside her house. Giyuu approached her. "Excuse me, sorry to bother you, but do you perhaps know what time it is? Me and...my friend..have to be somewhere." The elderly woman looked up at them and smiled. "It's 17:48 pm." (5:48 pm learn your military time guys.)
Sanemi thanked her and grabbed Giyuu's hand. "We need to hurry Tomioka, so don't zone out for once." Sanemi stated. They rushed to the train station, not realizing that they were still holding hands from before. When they finally got there the train was just about to leave. Sanemi had to shove a few people since it was crowded for an unparticular reason, basically dragging Giyuu. It was 18:15 pm (6:15 pm), and they had 2 minutes before the train left.

The two boys made it onto the train just in time. Since there were no more seats, they had to sit next to each other. As the train started to move, the two sat there in silence. Well sure it was a bit loud on the train, but they didn't speak to each other. "So...how did you know that I liked ohagi? Were you stalking me or something?" Sanemi finally spoke, teasing Giyuu at the end of his sentence. "W-What? No, Tanjiro told me." Giyuu responded. "That damn brat." Sanemi thought.
2 hours went by and it was 20:47 pm (8:47 pm). Sanemi was zoning out looking out the window, when he felt a slight thud on his shoulder, he looked over to see Giyuu asleep peacefully. "He looks cute when he's asleep. Wait, why am I watching him sleep..? I feel like such a creep." Sanemi's face started to turn into a light shade of pink. Later, the man started to slowly get tired and ended up falling asleep. They then slept as the train kept moving.
