Spring time

Theo was sitting on his knees holding both her hands in his as she laid lifeless on the chase. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes. He searched for her in her minds eye. He found her asleep under the tree. Her face expressionless. He sits down next to her and calls to her.

"Little bunny, you can come back now."

"Come back to me baby, we're all safe and waiting for you."

"Follow my voice, come back." Combing her hair with his fingers. Taking off his jacket he covers her body. He sang to her.

I was forcing the tears back as I sand the song. My mother sang this song to me when I had nightmares in the middle of the night. And right now, I couldn't think of a nightmare scarier than losing her and where she's at. I needed her to come back, without her it was hard to breathe. She can't leave me behind.

Orion opened her eyes slightly and smiled.

"Hey" she said "You found me"

"I'll always find you little bunny."

I notice looking into her eyes, they were silver. "Your eyes"

"What about them? Are they still purple or something?" She asked.

"Or something, they're streaked with silver."

"What? That doesn't make sense, my magic is purple. They shouldn't be silver." She answered puzzled.

"I know, maybe they won't be when you wake up?"

"Do you mind if we stay here just a few more minutes. It's really peaceful and after tonight, I need a second before entering the world again." She asked desperately.

"Yeah, we can stay a few more minuets"

We sat together, me holding her in my arms her leaned against my chest. We just soaked each other in.

"Listen before go back I should tell you; your eyes and nose were bleeding after you came out of your trance." I said concerned.

"What? Are you serious?" She asked "you don't think I'll be blind do you?"

"Haha, no I don't think so." I chuckled "But let's go back and find out.

I exit her mind and open my eyes. Smiling at the beautiful face of my woman, my love, my fated match. The color returning to her cheeks. Her lips a soft peach again. The blood on her face from her tears still stained her skin, but had stopped flowing. I take the rag and soak it and wipe it from her face.

Then she opens her eyes. They were blue but with silver threads in them." I said alarmed they weren't the same as before, "they aren't all silver like their when in your minds eye."

"It's really beautiful though." I pull a piece of hair from her face "but your always beautiful."

There's a knock at the door.

"If its not the bloody doctor, then go away. I won't say it again."

"It's me, your majesty," Carter started, "I brought the doctor."

"Send him in now."

"Theo you don't have to be so rough, I'm okay." Orion said.

The doctor enters the room and rushes over to his prince and princess. "Your grace, may I see the princess please?"

I step aside and stand behind the chase holding my little bunny's hand while he checks her.

He looks at her eyes with a light at the tip of his finger. He checks her mouth and ears. He place stones on her torso and pulls out a large clear crystal.

"I'm going to check her mana output first. And then I'll check her Tan and Tai levels." Dr. Sinstar said.

He was a dark elf they had a different way of using magic and were experts in necromancy and medicine. Like the wood elves.

"She drained her Tai, that's why her eyes and nose were bleeding. She was capable of containing the amount Tai she manifested. So, it caused her blood her her nose to bleed." The doctor took a deep breath. "Her eyes bled because of what she was seeing in the Netherworld."

He looked over at Orion. "I don't know what transpired there, but what ever did used a lot of your Tai, princess."

I was confused I'd never really understood what Tai was exactly.

"Forgive me for sounding ignorant, but what is Tai exactly." Orion asked.

"Tai is the other side of Tan, they are the balance in the world. Sorrow and happiness, heart or head, life or death." His look into her eyes intensified "I can sense the power of Tai in you it's almost a source itself. You have a deep connection with the Netherworld, and I am very interested in how you develop. If you need a teacher, I am at your service." He stands up and bows low.

"Thank you for your time and care. Please return to aiding the citizens"

"My prince, please stay with her and nurture her. Spend time holding hands, the bond can help restore the balance within her body. I will come back check on you, my princess, in two days." Bowing again before shutting the door.
