In the heart of the competition, Lumin awakens to the urgency of the next challenge: Level Four of the first preliminary round. With a brief exchange of understanding, he and Awandea prepare to face the unknown. As they step into the hallway, the air thickens with tension, and the other players follow in silence toward the Adrena Hall, their minds already racing.
There, Adrena stands waiting, her staff levitating as she addresses the players. With a chilling, authoritative tone, she reveals the stakes: a puzzle to be solved in 60 minutes, the reward a one-time-use revive potion. But there’s a catch—only one team can claim the prize.
With the pressure mounting, all eyes fall on Lumin and Awandea, who are rumored to have an advantage thanks to their previous success. However, Awandea quickly dispels any hope of an easy path, revealing that they don’t have the book for this round. The eyes of the room turn toward Team AA, and Florida’s mischievous grin confirms that she holds the key to this challenge—the book containing crucial secrets for the preliminary rounds.
As the teams are scattered across an open arena, the puzzles materialize before them, pieces jumbled and scattered. Time is running out, and the hourglass above ticks away with ominous intent. Each wrong move will cost precious moments, and only the fastest team will be granted the valuable revive potion.
Awandea questions their next move, but Lumin’s resolve is clear: "No, we’re not letting this one go. We’ll solve this puzzle, and we’ll win that potion." The race is on, and the pressure to win is greater than ever.
ESCAPE THE HALL LV.4
DISPLACEDLumin and Awandea studied the picture beside the massive, scrambled puzzle, their eyes tracing the details of a beast unlike anything they’d ever seen. The end result, according to the image etched into the grass, should reveal a four-headed lion-like creature with a fierce, glowing blue mane. Four orbs floated ominously above its heads, casting a dim light over the creature’s luminescent blue fur, which seemed almost alive, as though the puzzle might roar to life if solved. The sheer alien nature of the image made it feel impossible to reconstruct, like grasping at fragments of a forgotten dream.
"What is that, anyway?" Awandea muttered, her voice barely above a whisper as she circled the picture, studying every angle. Her right arm rested thoughtfully beneath her chin, while her left arm crossed her chest, fingers drumming lightly. Occasionally, she glanced back to the disjointed pieces spread out in the puzzle before them, unable to imagine the creature whole.
Meanwhile, Lumin rummaged through his bag, pulling out one of the books they’d managed to secure in the last level. Awandea turned toward him, her expression a blend of curiosity and faint hope. "Is that one ours?" she asked, eyeing the worn cover of the book.
Lumin shook his head, fingers already flipping through the pages. "No, but I thought it might mention something useful about the revive potion... or maybe hint at whether we’ll need it for the next round."
