The map was quiet, all the other evaders having left, leaving only Rosy and Bobo to begin their training. The empty space stretched out before them, dotted with obstacles and paths perfect for honing evasion skills. Bobo turned to Rosy, his usual grin flashing with an extra hint of excitement.
“Alright, Rosy,” he said, folding his arms and giving her a mock-serious look. “Think you’re ready to take on a Nextbot?”
Rosy nodded eagerly. “Absolutely! I’m ready for whatever you’ve got!”
Little did she know, Bobo had a little trick up his sleeve—he’d secretly planned to act as her “Nextbot” for a more realistic experience. He kept that part to himself, though, as he started explaining the basics. “When you’re faced with a Nextbot, you’ve got to stay calm and make quick decisions. Watch their patterns, find the right moment to dodge, and keep moving.”
Rosy hung on every word, her eyes shining with determination.
Bobo stepped back, his stance shifting into something more ominous, almost like a Nextbot ready to pounce. “Let’s see how you handle it,” he challenged, his voice dropping playfully. Then, with a burst of speed, he dashed toward her, imitating the relentless pursuit of a Nextbot.
Rosy reacted instinctively, her heart racing as she dodged and weaved, staying just ahead of him. She matched his incredible speed with surprising agility, juking at the last second and throwing him off her trail. No matter how close Bobo got, Rosy managed to stay out of reach, her movements becoming smoother and more confident as the training went on.
Hours passed, with Bobo growing more and more impressed. Each time he thought he’d catch her, she pulled off a new move to escape. Finally, he slowed down, laughing breathlessly.
“Rosy, that was amazing! I couldn’t even catch you!” he said, pride evident in his voice.
Rosy beamed, feeling a rush of accomplishment. “I did it! I actually kept up with you!”
Bobo chuckled, giving her a proud nod. “You’ve unlocked some serious skills, Rosy. You’re well on your way to being a pro evader.” He held out a hand for a high five, which she gladly gave, their shared triumph making the moment all the more special.
He tilted his head toward the lobby, his grin widening. “How about a snack as a reward? My treat.”
Rosy’s eyes lit up. “Yes, please!” she replied eagerly, her heart full from both the training and the chance to be with Bobo.
As they headed off together, Rosy felt like she was already living her dream—not just as a skilled evader, but with Bobo by her side.
