Hershel is fast asleep. Where is he?
The fucking door. The only way to escape.
Well shit.
I sure hope he's a heavy sleeper.
"How are we gonna get out?" Brentan asks me. The familiar grunting between two men goes on as a redneck voice arises from their throat and floats into the air.
"Where she at?" The voice means me. Of FUCKING course.
Damn Dixons.
I love the Dixons, but damn, they know how to get under your skin.
Boots shuffle around towards my position and immediately I crawl away behind a crate that's completely out of place and probably shouldn't even be there.
Oh well.
Brentan hides behind me, facing the other way with his gun in position in case a walker comes by.
You never know where a walker might be nowadays.
Daryl scuffs the boots on the ground for a little while longer without waking Hershel and gives up, slouching himself as he goes back to his brother.
Phew. That was a close one.
"Lets get the hell outta here." Brentan whispers.
"Wait, Im gonna write a note and put it in my cell." I say.
"Alright, but hurry up. We can't waste much time."
I take a pen I found the first day we got here and some paper and scribble out a note explaining pretty much everything. I sign the note and place it on my bed, not waking Carol in the process.
I walk back to where Brentan is by the door. I open the door slowly and carefully. Hershel doesn't make a sound or movement, so we escape with no trouble. All of our weapons are where they need to be and we set out into the woods.

**Daryl's POV**
Dawn breaks and I peek into Kristas cell, only to find her not there.
She must be outside hunting or something.
I walk outside and scan the perimeter to find her.
Nope. Not there.
Where the hell is she?
I walk back into her cell. A piece of white stands out on her neatly made bed. I pick up the white thing and find its paper.
It's addressed to "Group Members"
I come to the realization that she's gone. Gone.
Gone for good.
She's probably with that brother of hers.
"Hey everyone, come check this out!" I tell the group. They get up and shuffle in my direction.
"Where's Krista and Brentan?" Lori asks.
"That's who it's from." I reply. She's such a damn nitwit.
"Well read it little brother!" Merle says in a half ass commanding voice.

- THE NOTE -

Dear Group Members,
The past few days have been annoying and really exhausting. I feel as though I'm in the middle of everything. If you don't already know the Dixon/Keelstra situation... Ask Daryl, Merle or Shane. I don't care who, cause I sure as hell ain't explaining it. It's quite complicated. Wait. I take that back. It's REALLY complicated. It's hard for me to explain because.. Well.. I'm gone. And so is Brentan.
Originally, the Dixons would have joined us, but we thought they'd be a burden and they keep the group together. Not saying that without the Dixons y'all suck or anything, but the group needs people like them, and we didn't want to let you guys fall apart.
No. This is NOT a suicide mission. We are also simply searching for the other Keelstras. You see, there's 6 of us. Hayden Keelstra, Brentan, me, Sara Keelstra (dead and turned), Emily Keelstra, and the youngest, Jake Keelstra. We're gonna look for the others (except Hayden. None of us liked Hayden and we haven't seen him in over 10 years, so he's probably dead. Pointless right?)
Anyway, by the time you read this, the Keelstra duo will be out of here. The reason why we took off is to stop everything. I know that this departure of ours will "make everything worse" but it's for the best.
The Keelstras will indubitably miss all of you.
Signed,
Brentan Keelstra
Krista Keelstra

"Dixon/Keelstra situation? What the hell is that?" Rick asks. Shane and Merle both look at me. Guess who's gonna explain it.
I begin with, "Well, I told Jim back in Atlanta that I kinda...you know...uhh.."
"He likes Krista." Shane blurts.
Fuck you Shane.
"Yeah. That bastard said something to her and she moved in on me. So we pretty much fell for each other, I guess you can say. But Merle had discovered this relationship at Kristas house and we forced him to promise to keep it shut."
Hershel, with a confused look, says, "Then how did Shane find out?"
"Yesterday he stumbled outside when Merle also stumbled in on a moment where I gave her a necklace." I ramble.
"It was an infinity symbol.." Merle says.
You could hear all the women's "awwww"s at that moment.
"Yep. Well she came up to me and yelled 'I hate you' in my face and ran away sobbing." I say again.
"I had figured it out and pulled them aside an asked if it was true. It was easy to see it in his eyes and hers. They had told me it was true. That's why Daryl cut me off when I said 'Daryl and-' because he wanted it to stay secret." Shane explained.
Merle went ahead and paid his two cents by adding, "I had talked to her after Daryl went back in with Shane. She asked me why it was always her the guys fell for and I told her why Daryl fell for her. She got up and didn't speak to him for the rest of the day until nightfall, which was when her and Brentan must've snuck out."
"Yesterday they mentioned something about being a burden and when I asked her who she said it wasn't my business." I added, along with, "That's the whole 'Dixon/Keelstra' situation."
"Well are you gonna go after them?" Carl asked.
"I want to, but they took a bow, a bunch of arrows and a few guns." I replied.
Then again, I have a few handy knives. And no one touches my crossbow.
"Yeah, I'm goin." I state.

When I'm about to leave, Merle and Shane decide to tag along.
"Alright, we're headed out." I say.
"We'll see you later Daryl." Rick says. He grins and waves as if I'm goin to school as the three of us head out the door.

"Merle, don't be a dick. This ain't some random people. This is Krista." I tell Merle firmly.
"Why, is she your 'one true love'?" Shane teases.
I really want to punch that asshole in the face. He's like Merle when he's like that.
Damn bastard.
We go until we come to a place with multiple people guarding it.
I see a sign that says,
"Welcome to Woodbury"
