They were everywhere. Groaning, moaning, gagging noises... Disgusting. Rick looked at T-Dog and muttered, "And you dropped the damn key."
"HEEEELP! HELP MEEEE!" A voice shouted from a rooftop.
"MERLE! MERRRRLE! WE'RE COMIN FOR YA!" Daryl shouts at the top of his redneck lungs. God he can be annoying.
"Um, excuse me, Big Mouth, I do not believe that was necessary." I snort at him. He almost growls at me like a dog as he continues with, "No one aksed ye', Kris."
"Dammit Daryl!" Glenn exclaims. The walkers start limping towards us, their stench filling the air... The most putrid smell ever. Why couldn't they smell like flowers at least? Something to make this apocalypse a little better.
Suddenly, Daryl's arrow pierces a walkers head as he looks at me. Rick and Glenn start popping bullets and T-Dog took out his axe and started slicing. I took out my pistol and shot at least 6 walkers. As the final one gets close to me, Daryl whacks the shit out of it and shouts, "Hands off my girl, bud!"
But this walker was completely different from the others. This walker looked familiar...
Sara!
At that moment, I want to break down. My sister, now a part of them. Now a part of their world.
"S-Sara..." I whisper, just barely. Thankfully, no one heard me. They were too busy waiting for Daryl to explain why I'm his girl. Seriously. He can go smooch up on Carol. I'd rather just let him leave me alone.
Everything ceases in that moment. Glenn stares at Daryl. T-Dog stares at Daryl. Rick stares at Daryl. I stare at Daryl.
Yay for staredowns.
"Daryl. What the hell?" Rick presses. His eyebrows burrow in confusion.
You go Officer Friendly.
Daryl hesitates, "I didn't want the bitch to get to her. Would hate to lose another girl." What a dang liar.
"Lets just get Merle and get out of here." I say with the annoyed tone. I really consider going solo at this point.
If everyone else died, I don't think I would give two shits. They're all drama queens.
And besides, I know Lori's dirty little secret.
I wandered around in the woods with my bow. Might as well try to catch something, even if it's a puny squirrel.
My feet slapped the ground quietly. I'm probably one of the only girls back at the camp that knows how to fend for themselves. I know the Harrison sisters can, and the Peletier girls have been doing it since Ed came in the picture.
We Keelstras were always trying to get some food. Most of the time Hayden would try to pick us up something, but he wasn't the person you could necessarily rely on for food.
Brentan and I would usually try to get something from the local Italian restaurant. Least they were generous.
I continued trudging through the woods when a grunt caught my attention.
I thought, who the fuck would be out here?
I peeked through multiple bushes until I saw something that will always hang over my head.
Shane, Lori, you get the general picture.
I quickly looked away. That was all I needed to see.
Well, it's hard to find love as it is now, and her husband's dead, so I can't really blame her.
But something tells me there's a fishy thing about this.
I didn't see it until Dixon One went to Atlanta and was basically replaced with Officer Friendly.
I was snapped back to reality when Glenn nudged me to follow Rick. I sighed and reluctantly trudged behind him.
Why am I even here? I could care less about Merle Dixon's fate. Guess I was here to watch my dead sister try to eat me with her new friends.
We all start heading towards the building and go up. As we approach the door, a voice rings out again. The same one that Daryl replied to.
"I'll open the door. Merle would like it if he didn't see Rick.." Daryl says.
"No, I'll go. It's my fault he's there." T-Dog says.
"Dammit, somebody open the fucking door!" I shout. T-Dog then opens the door and Merle sits there, his hands bloody as hell, with a look of relief on his face.
"Hey! Y-You came!" He stammers. I come in and his face brightens as Daryl follows behind me. Daryl doesn't even hesitate—he walks straight up to his brother and gives him a hug of death.
"Touching." I state. Guess Daryl heard me, because he looked at me and beamed.
What the fuck did I just say? And why is he giving me that goofy grin of his? He looks retarded with it..
But kinda cute at the same time.
Agh! Snap out of it Krista! You are NOT falling for a DIXON out of all people.
A DIXON. No.
"Wha's this?" Merle questions. He looks at his little brother with a smirk the size of Texas. I watch as Daryl tries to quickly come up with an excuse.
Daryl blushes a bit. "N-N-Nothing." He stumbles over his words. Merle bursts into laughter.
"Can we just get him out of the cuffs and just leave?" I grunt. Rick takes out his pliers and clips the metal that connects Merle's wrist to the pole.
"Thank you, Officer Friendly." Merle smirks yet again. He glances at me and then at Daryl. His eyes stagger between us, and I know exactly what he's doing.
That bastard wants me and Daryl to hook up!
Okay, how about HELL TO THE NO!
The dreadful trip back to camp was taken over by silence. Thank god no one tried to speak, because if one did, my short-tempered self would flip a table.
