The sun rose on the island, casting a golden hue over the landscape and warming the remnants of the previous night's storm. The air was crisp and filled with the scent of salt and earth, a stark contrast to the turmoil that had unfolded. As the group gathered, there was a palpable tension in the atmosphere, an unspoken awareness of what was at stake.

Today, they would face a new challenge—a relay race that would test not only their physical abilities but also their teamwork and strategy. The stakes were high: the losing team would lose an extra life, and with both Olivia and Arasha teetering on the brink of elimination, the pressure felt even more intense.

The clearing where they had set up camp had been transformed into a makeshift racecourse. The terrain was rugged, with obstacles that included fallen logs, sandy patches, and stretches of uneven ground. At one end of the course stood a large banner marking the starting line, and at the other, a finish line flanked by palm trees swaying gently in the breeze.

"Alright, everyone," Damien called, gathering the group's attention. "We need to split into two teams. It's crucial that we give it our all. The last thing we want is to lose a life today, especially for those who are down to their last."

Noah nodded, glancing over at Olivia. "Let's make sure we're focused. We need to strategize if we want to win this."

"Agreed," Ian chimed in, his expression serious. "We have to support each other out there."

After a brief discussion, they formed two teams:

Team 1: Noah, Ian, Olivia, Spencer, Keith, and Courtney.

Team 2: Anthony, Chanse, Arasha, Amanda, Damien, and Angela.

"Let's remember that we're not just running for ourselves, but for each other," Chanse said, looking over at Arasha and Olivia. "We have to keep our heads in the game, no matter what happens."

As they prepared for the race, the tension grew. Olivia could feel the weight of her last life hanging over her like a dark cloud. "If we lose, I'm done for," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper.

"You won't lose," Noah reassured her, placing a hand on her shoulder. "We'll do whatever it takes to win this race. Just focus on the first leg. We've got your back."

The groups began to stretch, their bodies tense with anticipation. The arena felt charged, as if the very air around them was aware of the stakes. As they prepared, Courtney glanced at her teammates, determination etched across her face. She was motivated, not only to win but to ensure that her friends—especially Olivia—would not suffer any further losses.

"Okay, everyone!" Damien shouted, his voice booming across the clearing. "On my count, we start. This is a relay, so when you reach your teammate, you pass the baton. Remember to communicate, and above all, stay focused!"

He glanced back at Olivia and Arasha, both of whom had only one life remaining. "We're doing this for you two. Let's make it count!"

The teams took their positions at the starting line, hearts pounding in unison as they prepared for the race of their lives. The atmosphere was thick with anticipation, each member's focus narrowed down to the upcoming challenge.

"Three... two... one... go!" Damien shouted, and with that, the race began.

Team 1 sprang into action first. Noah took off like a shot, his long legs propelling him forward as he navigated the uneven terrain. He glanced back, making sure Ian was ready to receive the baton. As he reached the first marker, he passed it smoothly to Ian, who was already primed and waiting.

"Let's go, Ian!" Noah shouted, pushing his teammate onward.

Ian dashed forward, determination etched across his face. He had trained for this moment, and there was no way he was going to let his team down. As he approached the next obstacle—a large log that needed to be climbed over—he focused on his footing, vaulting over it with practiced ease. His heart raced, adrenaline surging through his veins as he neared the next marker.
