The labyrinth shifted with an eerie, almost malevolent grace, the walls grinding and groaning as if taunting the group with their constantly changing forms. Courtney, Damien, and Angela exchanged a look that conveyed more than words could—fear, hope, and a fierce determination to survive.

"We have to find the others," Damien urged, a note of urgency breaking through his otherwise composed demeanor. His eyes darted between the walls that seemed to close in more with every second, as if they were caught in the jaws of some great, unseen beast.

Courtney clenched her fists, trying to will her heart into a steadier rhythm. "Do you think they heard us? What if... what if they're as lost as we were?" The uncertainty clawed at her, but she pushed it down, unwilling to give voice to the worst of her fears.

Angela shook her head, her voice steadier than her heartbeat. "We can't think like that. If we do, we're already giving up." Her eyes softened as she looked at Courtney and Damien. "We keep moving. We stay focused. We'll find them."

Damien nodded, though the tightness in his jaw gave him away. "Right. No stopping." With a resolute breath, the three of them pushed deeper into the maze, each step a defiance against the shifting, whispering shadows around them.

They moved quickly, but cautiously, each corner they turned revealing the labyrinth's ever-changing nature. The walls moved in ways that defied logic, sometimes shrinking passageways to narrow slits and then expanding them into yawning chasms. Angela found herself studying the symbols carved into the stone walls, pulsing with a soft, unearthly glow. Each rune hummed with a power she couldn't quite place but felt deep in her bones.

"These symbols," Angela whispered, pausing briefly to trace the line of one. "They feel... familiar." Her fingertips brushed over the cool, etched surface, and for a heartbeat, she thought she heard something—a voice? An echo?

Courtney looked over her shoulder, her impatience warring with curiosity. "Maybe they're a clue. But we can't afford to figure it out now. We need to find the others first." She tried to sound confident, but her voice wavered, betraying the fear she kept buried.

Damien touched Angela's shoulder gently, urging her away from the symbols. "Court's right. We'll come back if we can. For now, we stick together. It's the only way we make it out."

With a reluctant nod, Angela stepped away, the allure of the runes fading. They pressed forward, the dim light growing dimmer still as the labyrinth twisted around them. The walls groaned, shifting with a predatory patience, and for a moment, Courtney felt a panic rising in her throat.

"Does anyone remember the way we came?" she asked, her voice barely more than a whisper.

"Not really," Damien admitted, frustration evident in his clenched fists. "Feels like this place is trying to make sure we don't."

Before Courtney could respond, a loud crash echoed from somewhere close by, followed by a chorus of muffled, urgent voices.

"Did you hear that?" Angela's eyes lit with both hope and fear. "It sounded like someone's out there!"

Without thinking, they rushed toward the noise, the adrenaline pushing them faster than they thought possible. They emerged into a cavernous chamber, shadows draped over every surface like a shroud. The same glowing runes adorned the walls, bathing the space in a spectral light.

"Guys!" Damien called out, relief palpable in his voice.

The figures standing at the chamber's center turned sharply, revealing Ian, Anthony, Keith, and Trevor. They looked haggard and shaken but alive, and that was more than Courtney had dared hope for.
