"Do you have to go? Why can't your boyfriend just come down here?"
Melody stopped mid-braid and sighed, "I've been over this three times Benjamin, he can't just take a vacation during the season, you have one birthday without me. And it's literally not even a bit deal, next year when you turn twenty-one, I'll be here."
"But-"
"I haven't been up in almost a month, long distance is hard. I've been in LA, he's been playing and working hard to play. If I don't go the next time we'll see each other is the Vikings game when I go to see Justin Jefferson."
Melody rambled to her youngest brother really for herself.
"And I'd like to see snow. It never snows down here."
"The way you say his full government is sending me."
"That man knows I refuse to call him 'jets'"
Melody scooped up more gel and continued braiding Ben's hair, thinking about her love life.
She really liked Joe and enjoyed the time they had spent together, but being two hundred miles away was starting to become difficult.
But, she'd get to see him in six days.
At least that's what she was telling herself.
She zoned out while continuing to braid, only being brought back to reality with Ben jerking forward.
