Arc 01: The Sage - Chapter 05: The Witch and the Sage, Part 02
After a few hours of travel, Flugel returned to his human form to rest a bit. They had landed in the middle of a forest with a small lake in front of them, where they set up camp. Flugel began preparing dinner while Pandora played in the lake. The sage watched the scene, feeling happy to see the little one enjoying herself. After a few minutes, Flugel called her to eat, and she returned all wet with an adorable expression on her face. The sage chuckled and used wind magic to dry her. A few seconds later, she was completely dry and, with a curious look, Pandora asked:
- Brother, do you have a place in mind for us to go?.
She asked with a curious look. The sage explained that he had a place in mind, but it was a bit far and would take some time to reach. With this information, Pandora began to wonder what kind of place it could be. Seeing her curiosity, Flugel said:
- I know you must be curious about the place, but let's enjoy our journey, okay? We have many other places to see before we get there.
He said with an animated tone, which made Pandora very excited about the places they would visit. Pandora then asked:
- Brother, do you think the people in these places will accept me?
She asked, seeing that the sage was surprised by her question. He knew it would be difficult to find a place with people who would accept her, but he held onto hope that such a place existed. With a gentle smile, while caressing her, he said:
- Pan, even if they don't accept you, I will always be by your side. No matter what happens, I will always be here for you.
His words made her emotional, and she hugged him, grateful that he was her family. The sage was a little moved by her considering him family and, with a big smile, said, "We will always be a family." Pandora smiled, agreeing with him, and silently promised herself to protect the sage, no matter what it took.
After dinner, Flugel used magic to build a small cabin where the two could sleep comfortably. Pandora slept very close to the sage, who found her presence endearing. He thought about how he would do anything to make her happy and vowed that she would never suffer again. The next day, Flugel woke up first and began making breakfast while the little witch continued to sleep soundly. A few minutes later, she woke up to the smell of food and, after washing herself in the lake, sat down to eat. She adored Flugel's cooking because he was so skilled at it. After eating, they packed up their things to continue the journey. When they finished, the sage shifted into his dragon form, and Pandora climbed onto his back, and they resumed their flight over the forest. Soon, they passed over a large ocean, which both found beautiful. Looking around, she saw some tall mountains and, noticing her excitement, Flugel said:
- Pan, we'll be reaching one of our stops soon, and I'm sure you'll love it.
He watched as Pandora looked very curious about this place, and after a few minutes, they saw a large, snow-covered mountain. Curious, she asked:
- Brother, what is that white stuff on the mountain?.
The sage explained that it was snow. As they landed near a town, Flugel took warm clothes out of his bag for both of them. Pandora's clothes included a blue dress, white boots, and a white coat with blue accents, while the sage wore a black shirt with a matching black cloak. When he saw her in her new outfit, he said:
- You look adorable in those clothes.
He patted her gently, and she smiled, happy from both the compliment and his affection. He then lifted her onto his shoulder, and they began walking toward the town. Pandora observed the scenery around her with wonder, having never seen such a beautiful place before. Curious, she asked the name of the kingdom, and the sage replied after thinking a bit.
