The city lights have never looked so peaceful and calm as she gazes at them while relaxing in the bathtub. She brought the wine glass to her lips and took a sip, allowing the alcohol to give her the adrenaline and temporary relaxation she needed. Somehow her mind couldn't seem to put off about that Hargreeves.
He isn't an enigma to start with, but he is terribly something else. Perhaps he's chaotic because of his decisions, but his expression a while ago bothered her the whole night as if something was more behind that look. She shook her head and slowly rose from the bathtub, putting on her robe as she walked to the room.
There laid her fiance, Joon, sitting in their bed while reading a book. He focused on reading until he spoke, "How were the keepers?" he asked, "Gene and Jean are... Well, they're something else." she answered and sat on the vanity while doing her skincare, "Do you think you're colleague will get to solve whatever those couple are planning?" she continued and glanced at him in the mirror.
"Who, Five? He's smart and observant. I think it'll be a challenge for him." he replied before closing his book and heading to her back, gently wrapping his arms around her as they both looked at themselves in the mirror with a smile.
"It'll be interesting to see if we can recreate this position once we both have white hair," he said softly, kissing her temple, which made her slightly chuckle. "I don't think I'll last long from all the cigarettes I've been smoking." she replied, "Nonsense, my love. You'd live a long and happy life. I'll make sure of that." he replied, kissing the top of her hand.
"I can't get enough of you. You stripped everything from me and I'm yours." he continued and her heart practically melted from those words, "You have me there." she smiled, that happy smile that reached to her eyes and then up to the sky. She stroked his hair a few times before turning around to him before whispering to his ear, "You can have me anywhere."
His eyes glistened, followed by a grin, "Oh, yeah? Even in your vanity?" he asked in a low voice, "I'm afraid you have to carry me first." she replied as he immediately carried her in his arms, causing her to scream a little then laugh.
He placed her on the bed and climbed on top of her, "Shouldn't we be doing this on our honeymoon?" she asked as he was busy trailing kisses on her neck, "Hm?" he hummed, making her sigh once she knew that he was clearly distracted, "I'm sorry, my love. I was clearly distracted. I can't stop kissing you.
"Liar." she whispered with a hint of tease in her voice, "Come on, I know you secretly want it too. And it's been a while, don't you think?" he convinced, making her grin. "You know me too well." she said in a low voice. "Of course, darling. I know what position you like, what pace, how fast-" he whispered in her ear as she closed her eyes, already imagining things that shouldn't be mentioned.
The passionate night continued like a sweet dream. Their love is so full of each other that no one dares to question the future, for they both know it will last forever. No doubt nor confusion was lingering in the cold night, it was all so pure. How wonderful it is to feel those certain feelings and how unfortunate for the people who are grieving for the love they once lost, thinking if it will ever come back to them.
