"I can't believe it. How can this be happening," Vivian exclaimed to Edward with a look of disbelief. " We can't have our faces on such articles. It will ruin us."
Vivian paced back and forth in the lavish living room, with pale face her fingers gripping the delicate lace curtain that framed the tall window.
Edward stood by the fireplace; his expression unreadable as he rubbed his temple.
"Don't worry, I'll fix this," he said, his voice steady. "These are just rumours. I will talk to Sebastian about his behaviour," Edward said slightly shaking his head as he looked down at the article detailing his son's 'Wild night out'. The bold headlines like daggers in his mind.
Vivian stopped pacing. "Rumours? They took these horrible photos of him." She pointed out. the tension in the room thick enough to be cut with a knife.
"They make him out to look like this spoiled rich kid. This could tarnish our name," she said disappointed. "I mean, what happened to him this summer, he's... changed, Ed,"
"I know, Viv." Edward snapped. "He's reckless. We can't let him get out of hand," he replied, his tone firm but laced with frustration. "That boy needs to learn a lesson."
Edward stopped his disturbed thoughts as he heard a soft knock on the door. "Dinner is ready, sir, Ma'am," said one of the house staff.
"We will deal with it," he whispered under his breath before walking to the dining room where food was served.
Vivian straightened her dress, composing herself. "Thank you," she said looking at the short lady, before she left the room to summon the young girl down for dinner.
