Sebastian was in a slightly bipolar mood ever since his 'talk' with his father. He was talking with his best friend, Louis about the upcoming senior masquerade to take his mind off things, when the bell rang. As he started gathering his things and looked up, he noticed that Amaya had been sitting across his table with Chloe and her friend group. He knew about Chloe, but he had never spoken to her. He didn't necessarily care, but it was mostly because of his ex, Veronica.

He noticed how different Amaya seemed today, in comparison to when he first met her. He hadn't even noticed before, but she was beautiful, and he hated to admit it.

That's when he remembered that she had been talking to Oliver or rather he was talking to her. He didn't understand why Oliver would bother with her—it just felt random and unnecessary.

Sebastian wasn't especially fond of the guy, since they had been rivals most of their life and people were always comparing them.

He shoved the thought aside, focusing on Louis. "So, are you coming to the masquerade this weekend?" Louis asked, his voice casual as he collected his things.

"Yeah, I was thinking about it," he muttered, glancing at Amaya. Louis noticed the look and smirked. "Don't tell me..." He began teasingly, but Sebastian cut him off, irritation clear in his tone.

"Don't, dude. She literally lives with me, and it's fucking annoying. Why would my mom bring this charity case to our home." Sebastian's jaw tensed slightly as Louis smirked, clearly enjoying himself. "Oh, so that's the girl..." Louis said with a knowing grin. "I actually had a class with her and she's hot."

Sebastian rolled his eyes. "Yeah–no, well she is a pain in the ass. You should try living with her." He shrugged trying to sound indifferent, but the fact that she had caught his attention was gnawing at him.

Louis raised a brow clearly unconvinced. "I'd say she's probably better company than Veronica."

"Don't." Sebastian muttered.

Louis chuckled. "Speaking of the devil, I heard she's coming this weekend. You cool with that?"

Sebastian's face hardened at the mention of his ex. Veronica had a way of resurfacing at the worst times and his stomach tightened." I couldn't care less, to be honest", he said flatly, his irritation creeping back into his voice. "Let her come if she wants, it's not like it matters."

Louis gave him a skeptical look. "Okay, if you say so."

"Look, let's just go and not think too much, okay?" Sebastian gave Louis a cheeky smile and Louis laughed: "Yeah, right," he said as they both headed to class.
