As soon as they got to the other side, he felt a huge gust of wind, no. Not gust. This felt as if he was riding on the back of a red-tailed hawk as an ant. He only caught a glimpse of the realm before he and his sister were falling. How high? He's got no clue.

He could barely hear his sisters screaming next to him as the wind was hitting his ears in a way that was almost deafening. When he felt the ground, he didn't feel anything break or sprain. All he felt was an almost hard but soft landing. Sand.

He's landed on it multiple times in the past, what with his realm being filled with it and him and his sister getting into a lot of play fighting.

He heard her calling his name a ways away but he couldn't focus on it. All he could focus on was the bird flapping down next to him. He looked like he had a broken wing at most. Will be difficult going anywhere here without the guy who can fly.

"Flame? Hello? Flame, come on we gotta get up and find people." Hunter nudged her brother's neck with her muzzle to give him a little push to stand up. He won't, she doesn't know why... His legs don't seem to be broken or sprained... the portal wasn't even that high up. "Come on flame, snap out of it or when we get back, I'm taking the red squirrel." his ears twitched at that, but she still noticed how he seemed to be staring off into nowhere...

He gives signs he's listening, but he won't move. He's never done this... Oh man what the hell am I gonna- "ok, let's go." he had stood up mid thought.

"Ok." flame made sure the crow was on his neck fluff in a way that would make him not fall off.

=-=

They haven't talked for a couple hours, it was too tiring walking around a desert that was already hot as hell, hotter than their realm for sure. They didn't need to use more energy than necessary. The crow wasn't looking too good either. Flame noticed how the bird had started moving less and would make weird noises every now and then. Maybe the bird was affected by the fall...? Surely not. It had fallen slower than they had because of his wings flapping, slowing the fall down by a lot.

"Hunter, how's the crow looking?" Hunter looked at the back of his neck before shaking her head. "No good, it looks like he's been plucking his feathers out even though he hasn't even moved since the last time you had me look."

He sighed as they continued their walk forward. Searching for any sign anyone was here. It was a desert, so the land was supposedly open enough to spot life far away, but it seemed like a ghost realm.

"What do you think happened to him? He looks ill, not like he would have caught a cold from a fall or a broken wing. Would he?" Flame shook his head, "Of course not. Somethings wrong with this realm though, have you noticed how there's not a single sign of life? We should have seen at least one person by now... Right?"

She nodded and looked forward. "Yea, I remember father telling us the other realms are big but I didn't think they would be this big. You know? We should have seen signs or even a life form by now even if it was just a fly or a lizard... Something. But we have seen nothing."

When flame nodded again his neck fur felt... Stuck. As if a clump of his fur was stuck together. It was in the same place as the crow. "Hunter, do you think maybe they're all dead? I mean, realms (even our own) are huge and take months to explore but there aren't even paw prints here. The sand looks like... woah wait do you see that?"
