"Ganda naman mag aral."

It's been 2 weeks and right now I was studying and Jeo was just staring at me with his arms on the table and head rested on the palm of his hand. I look at him and he just smiled. "Go back and do your work weirdo." I throw his pencil at him.

"Ano ba naka break ako ngayon. Gusto ko yung todong pahinga kaya sayo muna hihinga." He lifts his eyebrows smirking.

"You're so corny." I tried to hide my smile.

He chuckled. "Kilig ka naman."

I let go of my smile.

"Well how would you like it if someone stared at you like this all the time?" I imitate him.

"Ay basta ikaw, masaya akong magaaral nyan." He stood up to pretend to go back to his work.

I look at him laughing.

"Pwede bang mamaya na kayo mag landian. Sinusubukan ko na nga magaral nang mabuti pero parang kayo ang mag babagsak sakin." Domeng looked at us disgusted.

We laughed. "Mag aral ka na nga jan Iah! You're disturbing your kapatid."

"Sorry na menggoy. Ikaw nalang tignan ko." He said smiling and putting his arm on the table again.

"Subukan mo susundotin ko mata mo kuya pot." I laughed at mengs statement.

"Mag aral na nga di appreciated ang support ko dito." He said pouting.

Meng and I laughed.

We continued on studying until we decided to take an actual break. They went back to their house to play basketball and I wanted to just take a nap on my bed.

I was in my room and I looked over at the wall. It had my electric guitar on it.

"You think music would make you something in life. Well you thought wrong!"

My dad's voice echoed through my head. What does he know? He's far away.

You know what? I am someone new right now. I am Melia. I am the person that was hidden from the world, now I will embrace who I really am.

I walk over and grabbed my electric guitar from the wall mount. Went to my closet to find the the speaker.

I sat on my bed taking a deep breath. I start to play a familar tone.

"Even if my heart stops beating
You're the only thing I need, ooh, with me
Even if the Earth starts shaking
You're the only thing worth taking, ooh, with me."

Singing, I felt so free. This is what I missed. Music was always a part of me growing up. Grandpa would always squeeze in grandchildren time in his busy schedule. We would always play music, he would sing making a sandwhich as a child. He also taught me how to play certain insturments.

I strum my guitar eyes closed.

"Even if the sky's on fire-"

I stopped as I heard something fall. I look behind me to see Meng and Jeo. Meng was the one who fell.

"Meng kasi!" Jeo scolded.

I chuckled. "What are you both doing?"

"Ganda ng boses mo ate!" Meng smiled.

"Thank you meng." I smiled. I put the guitar down.

"Marunong ka pala mag guitara." Jeo said. I nodded. "Electric pa ang angas." He smiled looking at the guitar.

"Angas nga mag guitara si ate eh. Di katulad mo pang loverboy lang." Meng laughed.

"Hoy! At least marunong." Jeo glared.
