10: Alchemy

"Aye game day baybe." Jeo posed for me with his jersey.

I laughed. "Ang cute mo."

He changed his jersey with another sando, so it wouldn't be dirty.

"Nood ka po mamaya ha." He held my hand.

"Of course naman po." I nod. "I'll be there."

"Yun oh! My lucky charm." He hugged me. "Okay alis na ako may practice pa kami bago game."

He kisses my head. "See you later po." He smiled and grabbed his stuff going out the door. I watched him walk to the gate.

"Melia." I look behind to see tita.

She smiled. "Bebe pwede pong usap tayo?"

I nodded. We sat outside the balcony. I assisted her the whole way and as she sat down. I rested comfortably on the chair.

"Musta ka naman ngayon?" She asked.

"Okay lang po. I feel healed in a way." I smiled.

"Thats good to hear. Minsan lang kasi tayo makapag usap. Gusto ko din makarining nang chika from you." She smiled.

I nodded. "Go ahead po tita. Shoot your questions."

"Wala ka bang maikwekwento about family life mo? Okay ka lang ba talaga doon?" She asked.

"Hmm. Family life wise. Very complicated po kasi." I looked down. "But I am comfortable to share naman with you. Parang nanay na din po kasi tigin ko sainyo."

"Last na kita ko kasi sa magulang mo noong baby ka pa, mga 4 ata. Mag kaibigan kami nang mother mo, pag nagbabakasyon sila dito, tuwang tuwa ako kasi napaka cute mo at napaka bait na bata at masayahin." She smiled.

"Yea my mother." I sighed.

She held my hand. "Kahit anong gusto mo sabihin. Andito lang ako."

"My mothers not perfect. I get it no ones perfect. Kaso po, she was the reason why I am scared of everything. Getting abandoned, food, everything else. She wasn't such a big fan of me." I said sadly.

"Oh no. Nak halika dito." I hug her.

"You know tita. Your the only mother figure that actually care about me. I mean theres yaya but shes paid too." I sadly say.

"Andito na kami nang tito mo para protectahan ka ha. Tandaan mo, hindi ka basta basta lang sa pamilya, isa kang parte nang pamilya." She kisses my head.

"Thank you sainyo tita. You made me feel like family." I smiled.

I smiled. "Ate!" We both looked at the door to see Domeng coming up to us. "Alis na tayo."

"Oh punta na kayo baka mag tampo di Jeo pag wala ka." Tita said.

We both stood up and we helped her downstairs so she could go to Dongdong.

"Una na po kami." I kissed her cheeks and Meng went next.

"Ingat kayo." We both went out.

We were gonna walk there. "Sa tigin mo ate kailan mo sasagotin si kuya?" He asked.

"Baka today." I said.

"Ahh- HA?! TODAY?" He said dramatically. I laughed and nodded.

"Win or lose at least he won something right?" I smiled.

"Totoo. Kahit matalo yun hindi na yun bad trip naka ngiti yun matutulog." Meng laughed. We walked in silence for a bit.

"Yieee mag kakajowa na si kuya popot." He teased. I just smiled.
