On a summer afternoon in June. It's the last day of school, but the atmosphere isn't that great. On the contrary, it's kinda sad. It's the last day for the students in the sixth grade. All you can hear are the cries and sobs of the students. It's as if it's the last day on earth. Alena goes up to her friends and hugs them.
"I'm gonna miss you guys. I actually miss you guys already," She says through her sobs. "I hope you guys don't forget about me,"
Her friends laugh, and the tension is removed a bit. But she wasn't joking. There was still a bit of worry in her mind, but she brushed it off as if she was overreacting. After the crying session was over, they spent a little more time than usual going home.
"What if there is like a super rude teacher in junior high school, and they give us detention," Alena is shocked by her own words
"You know that would be real bad, not gonna lie, but what if you can bring your phones to school?" her friend says
"Ooh ooh what if you catch a teacher making out with another teacher," Her other friend says
"Eww, you're disgusting. What even are those thoughts?" Elena says but then realises her friend had a point. "If I ever see that I'm running away,"
They laugh and keep talking about junior high school and their expectations. After they say their goodbyes, they each go their separate ways. Now summer vacation has started. Every time Elena sees someone her age, she thinks it's gonna be her new classmate. The vacation went by so fast, and it consisted out of scrolling on the internet, going out, and sleeping late. One week before school started, she had to go to the school to check it out and see her future classmates. The moment she stepped on the school grounds, she was amazed at how big it was. And then she saw some of her old classmates.
"Hey, it's been a while, hasn't it?" Elena says.
"True, look, we're in the same class," Her old classmate says.
"Really, oh, I'm so happy," Elena shouts.
Some students stare at her. Then they go to their class. It consists of 6 boys and 13 girls. So, in total, 19 students.
They all got an introduction of their teacher and some papers. After that, they got to go home.
Elena was very happy about her class and school, and little did she know this wasn't as fun and easy as it looked.
