The rules are as follows:

> Follow @spotlight_hq, as well as the Spotlight founder, @author_ajd.

> Add this book to your reading list and library, so you don't miss any updates.

> Give the writing contest a proper shout-out on your message board. Don't just copy the link.

> Both ongoing and completed books are accepted.

> Your book can't have more than 20K reads upon entering. Besides that this is a competition, our aim is to make writers and their work known.

> Your book must be in English.

> Your book must have a minimum of 5 chapters (if a novel), 4 poems (if a poetry collection), or 2 chapters (if a short story). This excludes prologues, author's notes, aesthetics, etc.

> One-shots will not be accepted.

> All entries should be made via the Google Form provided. No inline comment entries will be considered. The Google Form is accessible in the link in our profile bio/description.

> You can enter 2 different books in two different genres. Entering both books in the same genre will not be allowed. This is to maintain fairness and give more individuals a chance to claim a prize.

> Only participants that make it to the longlist will be allowed to enter for the special categories battle. Longlisters can only enter twice, so use those two entries wisely. Note that if a participant enters two books for the battle and both of them had been longlisted, they cannot be entered in the same special category.

> If a form is submitted or filled out incorrectly, your entry will not be considered.

> Ensure that those judging your work(s) are given a follow. The judges will be revealed before the judging phase commences.

> Mature and LGBTQ books must be marked as such and follow Wattpad guidelines.

> No bullying is allowed. As soon as we become aware of it, you will be deleted. No second chances.

> No bribing permitted. If anyone is caught doing so, you will be disqualified.

> To indicate that you have read the rules, mention your favorite singer as your password on your entry form.

> Accepted participants must add the tag #spotlightawards2024 to their book(s).

> Tag a minimum of 5 Wattpad users to the writing contest in the 'Participant Tags' chapter.

> If you change your username or book title, notify us as soon as possible via email. Our email is available in our profile description/bio.

> Failure to follow any rules will result in immediate disqualification.
