I sighed, watching as the three of them argued over how Okarun would go to the bathroom while staying in Momo's field of view.
YN: Screw it, I'm leaving.
All three of them turned to me.
Mom: The hell do you mean you're leaving! Help us settle this!
YN: Why should I! I don't have to watch him while he takes a shit!
Mom and I glared at each other.
YN: Besides. There's a curse nearby. It might be a Finger Bearer.
Momo and Okarun just stared at me.
Momo / Okarun: A what?
YN: A finger bearer. A ghost or spirit that's consumed one of Sukuna's Fingers. There're twenty of them, but I've already absorbed eleven. If I can get it, I'll become a lot stronger.
Okarun: Why are there twenty fingers?
YN: Sukuna had four arms and two faces. See ya.
Without waiting for a response, I turned and left. I'd walked for about ten minutes, when I sensed it again, much closer this time. I turned towards the abandoned warehouse across the street and grinned.
YN: Is that it?
Sukuna: Yeah. Definitely a finger.
I walked across the street and kicked through the boarded up doors. It was about four times bigger on the inside than it had looked outside. The spirit was standing in the middle of the room.
YN: Hello.
I held up my hand and let out a massive slash, cutting it in half. The creature landed on its hands, eyes wide with terror, and tried to launch itself out a window, but I appeared in front of it and grabbed it by the head, a sadistic grin spreading over my face.
YN: Come on now, at least try and fight back.
I tossed it to the side. It landed on its back, grunting, and regenerated its lower half. I clapped a bit.
YN: Good job! Keep trying.
It grinned at me, getting into a fighting stance. I smiled cheerfully back.
YN: You look happy. Want me to praise you?
It rushed at me, throwing a punch, but I knocked its fist to the side and kneed it in the gut. The Finger Bearer fell to its knees, vomiting out blood.
YN: But healing with cursed energy isn't that hard for Cursed Spirits. Neither you, nor those kids back at Seiko's place really understand what curses truly are.
The spirit struggled to its feet.
YN: Let me show you... what a real curse is.
I grinned, putting my hands together.
YN: Domain Expansion.
Everything went pitch black, before a red glow illuminated us. We were standing in a sea of blood underneath a giant ribcage. I stood atop a shrine of bones, grinning sadistically down at the spirit.
YN: Malevolent Shrine.
The Finger Bearer squeaked, before its body suddenly split into five pieces.
YN: I was planning to cut you in three slices, but you're really weak. Oh, yeah, and then there's this.
I grabbed the finger from the hole in its chest, pulling it out as the spirit burst into purple flames. I held it over my head and swallowed it, nearly gagging at the now familiar sensation.
YN: Ugh... I'll never get used to that. Why are your fingernails so long?
Sukuna: Sorry, my intention was never for a human to eat them and complain!
TIMESKIP
By the time I'd made it back to Seiko's house, it was dark out. Before I reached the gate, Okarun and Momo walked out, both wearing some kind of ritualistic outfits.
YN: Uh... what's with the clothes?
Momo: We have to go lure Turbo Granny away from the location bound spirit she's merged with.
YN: I'll come too. If possible, I'll just kill her there.
Okarun: You can do that?
YN: Oh yeah, you were asleep when I saved you two. Killing curses and spirits is my job. And in the past twenty minutes, I've gotten a hell of a lot stronger. This'll be easy.
