CHAPTER 1

Third P.O.V

"Mr. and Mrs. Dursley, of number four, Privet Drive, were proud to say that they were perfectly normal, thank you very much. They were the last people you'd expect to be involved in anything strange or mysterious, because they just didn't hold with such nonsense." Rhea looks towards Katherine, guilt clear as day on her face. Feeling eyes on her Katherine turns towards her mother and smiles at her, it may have taken a while for Rhea to find her but at least she did eventually.

"Mr. Dursley was the director of a firm called Grunnings, which made drills. He was a big, beefy man with hardly any neck, although he did have a very large moustache. Mrs. Dursley was thin and blonde and had nearly twice the usual amount of neck, which came in very useful as she spent so much of her time craning over garden fences, spying on the neighbours. The Dursleys had a small son called Dudley and in their opinion there was no finer boy anywhere." Katherine snorted and when Edmund tilted his head towards her she giggled while whispering in his ear.

"Even back then, Dudley was anything but small." He let out a laugh before smiling at the mirth in her eyes. She had told him about the Dursley's before. He would forever be grateful that her mother found her when she did. It could have been so much worse.

"The Dursleys had everything they wanted, but they also had a secret, and their greatest fear was that somebody would discover it. They didn't think they could bear it if anyone found out about the Potters." Katherine looked at the screen with an offended look on her face, glaring at the figures of her 'aunt' and 'uncle'.

"What's wrong with being a Potter?" Severus Snape snorted at the look on his Goddaughter's face. She may be a Pevensie in name now, but Potter blood will forever run in her veins.

"Mrs. Potter was Mrs. Dursley's sister, but they hadn't met for several years; in fact, Mrs. Dursley pretended she didn't have a sister, because her sister and her good-for-nothing husband were as unDursleyish as it was possible to be. The Dursleys shuddered to think what the neighbours would say if the Potters arrived in the street. The Dursleys knew that the Potters had a small daughter, too, but they had never even seen her. This girl was another good reason for keeping the Potters away; they didn't want Dudley mixing with a child like that." The rage on people's faces around the room was visible to all sides of the war. The only people's faces who didn't turn a rather unflattering shade of puce were those that were in Dumbledore's secret club.

"A child like that! And what exactly do they mean when they say that! Katherine is the best child a parent could have!" Rhea Black continued to rant, pureblood decorum thrown out the door in the defence of her daughter. Like those filthy muggles could talk, their child can't even count by himself. People around her nodded in agreement.
