Mikaela — or Mikey — Albarn is a growing name in the music industry. Her fame stemming from the fact she is a daughter of none other than Damon Albarn, who took britain by storm in the 90's as the frontman of Blur and later, Gorillaz. Of course, Mikey and her twin sister Missy, are both incredibly aware of that fact that their father being who he is has granted them many opportunities in life, the pair being entirely grateful but, Mikey has grown to see the downside of being a so called 'nepo baby'. You see, the world always expects things from her. For her to become the next Damon Albarn, following in his footsteps and creating music just like Blur's. That is where most of the hate she receives comes from. Mikey loves music, which is not a surprise after her upbringing, but the type of music she was surrounded by and the type of music she creates are completely different.
The world anticipating her to release music filled with a funky tune playing in the background, some electronic sound mixed with art rock style. That was not what she released. You see, Mikaela likes to express herself through her song writing. Not seeing any point in writing pointless song lyrics that don't relate to her and are not relatable to others. Her songs, which are filled with metaphorical meanings and words you would spend hours looking up in a dictionary, definitely didn't appeal to everyone, but to those it did, it really did.
Although building up her own fan base, which has increased to over six million over the span of her almost three years releasing music, Mikey still struggles slightly with the fact people don't like that she is her own person and not her father, and whenever she expresses this, people call her ungrateful and irrational.
Will people ever just understand and accept that she is not, and will never be her infamous father?

After announcing to the world that Mikaela Albarn will be releasing a new album, her friends decide to take her on a trip away, not too far from home but to a place known its music, literature, and don't forget, bars. Dublin. Her friends thought it would be an amazing idea to go bar hopping in order to celebrate, which, of course, Mikey was no opposition to. Especially not when, walking into the second bar of the night, she met someone. Someone who grew to understand her better than anyone has before.
