ALEXIA'S POV

I lay on my bed, staring at the intricately detailed ceiling in my room, my best way to kill time. Then again.. it is my only way to kill time.

My ears perk up when I hear my father's voice ring through the vast maze of hallways that I call my home.

Great, he's calling for me. I scramble out of bed and sprint down the corridor clumsily. I round a corner to see my destination. The grand dining room.

It is a large room, and like the name suggests, rather grand. A table laid with exquisite food, shining silverware and a large chandelier to top it off. My father is sitting at the head of the table. Like always.

"Alexia. Sit down. There matter to discuss that involves you and your ideas." His booming voice echoes around the room.

I hastily sit down in my chair, slightly worried on what was coming next.

"What did you need, father?" I ask timidly.

"Your ideas about what's outside is getting out of hand. You must stop trying to turn my words against me. I am doing this for your own good. The humans would kill you on sight."

His words stung, and he knows it.

"I am not against you father, I just think that I should be allowed to go out. It is unfair if I can't experience life properly." I explain patiently.

I can see what I'm saying angers him, but I should be allowed to express my feelings.

"You don't understand girl. You'd never survive out there. This isn't just to keep you away, it's to keep you alive." His is voice now louder, I can tell he's about go off on me.

I am going to stand my ground though, I will not stand down.

"I'm 15 and I haven't been allowed off of castle territory! How is that protecting me?! It's just isolation at this point!" I spat.

I went too far. No backing out now.

He brings his hand down on the table, small shock waves make the table shake.

"See! That attitude is going to be death of you. Now shut up, and listen!" He roars.

I try not to break. Tears prick at the sides of my eyes, but I try to hold it together.

Not done!

Please tell me if anyone would be interested for me to continue. Suggestions would be appreciated!
