On Tuesday, April 23rd, I woke up realizing that today was the field trip, my birthday.... and I woke up late at 6:40 AM! I put on a shirt my grandma made me when I was about five or six years old and some jeans with a lot of holes in them. The shirt is special to me because it has my name (Amelia) with a Minnie Mouse car on it. I also put on my black PUMA tennis shoes that are pretty old.

I grabbed my mini-suitcase, my mini-backpack, and my school backpack and ran out the door. When the bus stopped at my house, I rushed back inside to go get my phone, my headphones, and a charger. When I got on the bus, I told my bus driver that I was sorry about the wait.

"It's okay.... I understand. Good morning, Amelia!".

I smiled and told her good morning back.

I did the same thing I did yesterday when I got on the bus. I waited for Jocelyn to get on, but she didn't get on.... maybe she woke up late.... or she isn't going. When my bus was about three to five miles away from the school, I closed my eyes, and I started mouthing the song, "Good To Be Alive", CG5. After the song ended, I opened my eyes, and prayed alone.... isn't sad?

After I got to school, I seen Mrs. Spivey and I asked her when we were leaving.

"When you get to my class".

It's all she said, just a pure and easy sentence.

I just rolled my eyes and I told myself this: "Everitt's lucky then". The reason why he's lucky is because he has Mrs. Spivey 7th Period.... which is at the end of the day.... THE LAST CLASS HE HAS!

I sadly walked to the 7th Grade Hallway and saw Everitt walking towards me. Everitt asked me angrily,

"When are we leaving?".

I told him on what Mrs. Spivey told me.

"I'm lucky then.... (mumbles quietly) I'll miss you, Amelia".

When I looked at him, he looked like he was making a plan.

Everitt tells me to follow him into the lunch-room. He also told me to be quiet too.... I feel like he was bringing me somewhere, so then he can give me my birthday gift. In the lunch-room, we go through the breakfast line, and he gave his lunch money to the lunch lady. After he gives this to the lunch lady, he looks at me and whispers,

"You may not like my idea, but we need to hide somewhere.".

"Everitt, we are not hiding, why do you want to do this?!".

"Because....".

It's all he said; maybe it was the gift he was talking about.

"Look, lets just try it.... and if we don't see each other, then we'll just have to deal with it.... (mumbles) it's part of life, Everitt, it's all I can say".

"Okay", he says in a concerning way, " we'll try".

After he said that, he smiled for the best. We walked back to 7th Grade Hall and we told each other our good-byes for now.... if we ever see each other at all the whole week.

When I walked into homeroom, I seen Addison sitting in her desk, crying. I didn't know how to tell her to stop crying.... this was a serious field trip we were talking about.

When I was trying to comfort Addison, the announcements went off saying that all 7th Grade students who had Mrs. Spivey to go to the buses. Addison started crying more.... she probably wasn't the one.

"She lied to us! Come on! Why did she lie about it? WHY!!".

Addison was mad, and she wasn't the only one that was mad at Mrs. Spivey.... WE ALL ARE!
