What a wise and powerful message! Putting God first is indeed the key to navigating life's challenges, including those that come with rejection or abandonment from others.
When we put God first, we acknowledge His sovereignty and trust in His plan for our lives. This doesn't mean we won't face difficulties or hardships, but it means we can face them with confidence, knowing that God is always with us and for us.
In Matthew 6:33, Jesus teaches us to "seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." By putting God first, we are seeking His will, His guidance, and His provision.
When our loved ones turn their backs on us, it's easy to feel lost and alone. But when we put God first, we can find comfort in His presence and trust in His promises. We can remember that He is our rock, our shelter, and our friend (Psalm 91:2).
In Psalm 139:14-16, David writes, "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book and planned by your hand."
These verses remind us that God is intimately involved in our lives, knowing us before we were formed and ordaining every day of our lives. When we put God first, we can trust that He is working everything out for our good (Romans 8:28).So, when faced with rejection or abandonment from others, remember to put God first. Trust in His goodness, His sovereignty, and His love for you. He is always there to comfort you, guide you, and support you.
