Notes: This is such a random one. ( •̯́ ₃ •̯̀) I was writing it as something else, but then it turned into this. Im not sure if this falls under headcannons, but I'll lable it as such. Hope you like it tho. I did enjoy writing it and I thought it was cute. Nick's bio will be at the end of the chapter!!!

●Nick was a salaryman. Outsiders with standards for jobs would see his company as a prime example of corporate greed. One that abuses its works on a daily basis. Nick seemed to take it well, but in reality, he was falling apart on the inside.

●Day in and out, he had nothing to look forward to. In reality, there were more things he dreaded. He dreaded coming late to work, getting more work that won't count towards his pay, and getting assigned jobs that didn't even fit his job description. It's a miserable life to live.

●For years, Nick's only ambition was to survive. He had no intentions of climbing the corporate ladder because that only meant more responsibilities. He didn't have any hobbies or a favorite person in his life. It was just him and his meek will to survive.

●Then he met you. He locked eyes with you at the park. It was rare for him to have a day off, but he went to the park this time. He heard online that being with nature can clear your mind of stress. He decided to take the chance since he really didn't have much to lose.

●You were painting. Nick didn't know what, but he could guess it was the park. He took a seat on a nearby bench and watched you. He didn't know it, but you caught on to his staring.

"Like what you see?" You asked Nick as you walked by him, holding all your supplies. You were leaving the park with your new creation in hand, but you wanted to talk to the stranger who was watching you the whole time.

Nick sat in shock. He saw you coming his way, but he didn't think that you would stop to confront him. You were around the same height as him, but given that he was sitting down, you towered over him. Your shadow casted over his weak form, and Nick started to get nervous. A thin sheen of sweat started to appear on his forehead, and he looked away from you.

You took notice of his nervous look and tried to ease him. "I didn't mean it like that! I just noticed that you were watching me, I found that... interesting?" You questioned your own statement, but Nick didn't notice it.

He could feel his heart start to beat faster the longer you stood in front of him. He studied how you looked, and he knew he didn't want you leaving.

Maybe you're what he needs in his life?

"C-can I have your number?" Nick asks with a stutter. Luckily, you found it to be cute.

"Sure, I don't mind," you said, waiting for him to take out his phone, and you started to say your number out loud as he typed it in. "I also come by the park every Wednesday at around four. I know it's an unconventional time since I'm guessing you have a regular job. But we can meet up here if you would like?"

Nick only nodded his head at what you said. You nodded your head too and waved, "I'll see you around, new friend."

●From that day forward, Nick would try to take Wednesdays off. It was hard, but he was able to do it somehow.

●Nick would sit next to you and watch you paint. He would watch you meticulously paint every small detail. From the people passing by, the buildings in the far horizon, the droplets of water from the fountain, and the brightness of the sun. It was all so different, but together, they formed a marvelous painting thanks to your blessed hands.
