"We don't meet people by accident. They were meant to cross our path for a reason."

As the shadows of doubt began to creep into their camaraderie, Haruto and his friends sat in a small café, their once jubilant atmosphere now tinged with unease. They had gathered to unwind after the meeting, but the game master's ominous message loomed over them, casting a pall over their spirits.

"Can you believe what he said?" Kaito broke the silence, his brow furrowed with frustration. "It feels like he's trying to turn us against each other."

Rin shook her head, her expression contemplative. "Maybe he's just trying to manipulate us again. We have to remember that his words are meant to sow discord. We can't let him win."

Akira, always the level-headed one, leaned forward, his voice steady. "We should focus on what we know. We've made significant progress, and we can't lose sight of that. But we also need to be cautious. If there are secrets among us, we need to address them head-on."

Haruto felt a knot of tension in his stomach. He glanced around the table, studying the faces of his friends. They had been through so much together, forged by their shared experiences, but the game master's words had planted the seeds of doubt.

"Is there anything we haven't shared?" Haruto asked, his voice barely above a whisper. "Anything that could be important?"

The group fell silent, each lost in their thoughts. Haruto's mind raced with possibilities. What if one of them was hiding something crucial? The very idea sent a chill down his spine.

"Look," Rin said, breaking the silence, "I trust each of you. We've fought side by side. But if there's something we need to know, now is the time to say it. We can't afford any secrets."

Kaito nodded, his eyes serious. "I agree. We're stronger together, but we have to be honest. If there's anything you're keeping from us, it's time to speak up."

Akira shifted uncomfortably in his seat. "I don't think any of us would intentionally hide something, but... I did notice something strange during our last confrontation with the guards. There was a moment when one of them hesitated, almost like they recognized me."

Haruto's heart raced at Akira's revelation. "What do you mean? Do you think someone from the other side is connected to you?"

"I'm not sure," Akira replied, his voice tense. "But I can't shake the feeling that there's more to this than we realize. It's like... there's a part of my past that's linked to all of this."

The air grew heavy with tension as everyone turned to Akira, uncertainty flickering in their eyes. "You have to tell us everything you know," Rin urged gently. "If there's any chance that this could tie back to the game master or the other students, we need to understand it."

Akira sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Okay, but it's complicated. A few years ago, I was involved with a group that dabbled in virtual reality gaming-similar to what the game master is doing. We experimented with AI and immersive experiences, but it spiraled out of control. Some of the people I worked with became obsessed, and I had to cut ties. I never thought it would come back to haunt me."

The revelation hung in the air, and Haruto felt a whirlwind of emotions-shock, concern, and a flicker of understanding. "So you think the game master could be someone from that group?"

"It's possible," Akira said, his voice low. "If they're using the technology we developed, they might have some connection to my past. I didn't want to say anything because I thought it was behind me, but now I'm not so sure."

Rin reached out, placing a reassuring hand on Akira's shoulder. "Thank you for sharing that. We need to look into it further. If there are any ties to your past, we can use that knowledge to our advantage."
