I sit in my assigned seat, my body slouched in discomfort. The classroom chairs are seriously uncomfortable.

I was going to skip today as well, but Raiden found out how much I was skipping school and forced me to go. She said if I didn't face the problem then I want going to solve it. Fuck you.

Yesterday was absolutely horrid, though. I never want to go through that again. But, to get Heizou not to tell everybody I probably will have to. Fuck me.

The teacher called attendance. My cheek was cupped by my hand, as I lazily looked out the window. I was on the first floor, so I could see all of the PE kids running on the track. Thankfully, I was exempt from PE this year.

Next to me sat a jittery Childe. He seemed like he's been wanting to say something to me all morning, but since he got here late he was unfortunately shut up by the teacher.

But as soon as the teacher put us to work on some random worksheet, I just know he's going to be blabbering away as usual.

I could see him fidgeting out of the corner of my eye which wasn't unusual. He was always moving in some sort of way. I don't really understand how one couldn't just sit still for just a moment, but who cares.

The teacher finished attendance, gave us directions then put us straight to work on yet another packet. And this was Childe's chance to talk, unfortunately.

"Scarahoe~" I heard his sly voice creep up on me as soon as the teacher finished talking. I took a deep breath in, and a deep one out. I have to mentally prepare myself every time I talk to him, since it's mentally draining.

I turned my head slowly, "what?" I said, no enthusiasm in my voice. Maybe he'd get the hint and not talk to me today. Probably not.

He grinned at me. "You should come sit with us today at lunch. I don't think your boyfriend's friends like you very much right now." Okay so way to mention that asshole. But I could see the glint of concern in his eyes, even with his playful posture.

"I'll think about it." His smile got a bit wider, and I could feel him ease a bit.

The rest of my classes went quickly, all the way up until lunch. I really did not want to go to lunch. That's where... it happened.

And all day, because of it, I've seen people avoiding me. I know they're doing it on purpose. So what? If they want to avoid me then they can avoid me. Fuck them.

Somehow, I ended up deciding to sit with Childe after conversing with Kazuha. He'll be sitting with us too. And Signora isn't here, so it'll be just us three. I'm sure Childe has other friends who sit with him since he's pretty sociable, but I'm just not going to talk to them.

I met up with Kazuha in the hallway, after spotting him struggling among a crowd of students. Lunch cannot be that good for u to literally push people out of your way, but okay.

I'm glad Kazuha hasn't changed towards me at though all of this. It feels like he's the only consistent thing in my life right now.

As I sat down with my tray of food, Kazuha quickly followed behind and sat down next to me. Childe grinned from across from me, clearly satisfied that we finally complied with his wish.

As Kazuha was adjusting himself to sit down, a noticed a boy in front of us waving at him.. a boy who was sitting at... Heizou's table? Sitting right next to Heizou? What the hell is he doing even talking to Kazuha.

Kazuha seemed to notice, pulling an awkward smile, before sitting down. I continued to watch however, as Heizou pulled the boy closer, whispering a note into his ear.

The boys face turned a bit pale. Shit. He probably hadn't known about any of this yet, right? He seems like a new student. He must've been Kazuha's friend too. Fuck, I ruined another one of Kazuha's friendships. Shit shit shit.

You know what, it's whatever. It was Kazuha's choice to be on my side anyways. I'm grateful and all but he could've just chosen to not get himself caught up in all of this.

"Do you know him?" I questioned, taking a swift bite of the sloppy cafeteria food after. He jerked his head towards me, seemingly caught off a bit by the question.

"Huh?"

I pointed my flimsy plastic fork towards the boy who had waved earlier. "Him. The guy you smiled at. You know him?" I asked once more, repeating my question as it didn't seem to come through the first time.

Kazuha relaxed, fixing himself from the once dazed stance. "Tomo? He's my ex... childhood best friend." The end of the sentence was rushed. Weird, but okay. "He moved away in middle school and recently moved home again. Today's his first day back." Kazuha smiled. He must like talking about Tomo.

"So was he also friends with Heizou? They seemed pretty chummy." I sneered. I know, I shouldn't be talking about his ex best friend like that, but I couldn't care less when it comes to Heizou.

Kazuha let out an airy laugh. "Yes, but don't worry. I already told him about Heizou—" He stopped mid-sentence, and his face turned ghostly-white. "Nope. I forgot." He glanced over at Tomo and then back at me. "Crap.. I forgot to tell him about Heizou."

Well, there very much goes one of Kazuha's friendships. Or at least, it'll start an argument between them. "It's fine, Kazuha. Just tell him later." I said, reaching a hand out to his shoulder.

He leaned towards me, putting the tip of his head onto my chest. I moved my hand towards his back, keeping it static, in one place. Rubbing his back would be too intimate for a cafeteria setting. He let out a sigh, almost as if he was comforted by my touch.

But there's no way.

I could hear a loud thumping noise. It was my heartbeat. I could hear it, it was so loud. There's no way Kazuha wouldn't be able to hear it. But why is my heart even beating right now? It's not like...

Shit.

I like Kazuha.
