~The Secrets Of Malfoy Manor~
Sitting at my desk, I signed off my name on a letter and sealed it. I stood up, pushing my chair back and walked towards my owl.Cove, who sat perched up on my window sill, flapped his wings feverishly. My expression softened a fraction and I gently caressed the side of his face with my two fingers.
"I need you to deliver this to Theodore for me, are you up for the task?"
I asked softly as the owl hooted softly his wings again, signaling his agreement to deliver the letter.
"That's my boy." I grabbed a few treats from my desk drawer and fed him a few. I gave him one last pet on the side of his face and tied the letter to his leg with a dark green bow.
"Have a safe flight, Cove. Don't get get into trouble, you know how father feels about it."
Cove hooted again and flew out of the window. My eyes followed him out my window until he was out of sight. I sighed softly and turned around.
My suitcase laid open on my bed, empty. I hadn't started packing for school yet. Father is not going to be happy if I don't get started.
I tied a green bow over my ponytail and adjusted my black dress. We are having dinner with the Notts tonight. I need to look "perfect" as father says.I looked myself over one last time in the mirror and stepped out of my room into the hallway. I glanced to my left and saw Draco closing his bedroom door behind him.
He looked at me with a cold scowl. "Good evening Draco." He walked past me, ignoring me completely and walked down the stairs.
I sighed and closed my bedroom door behind me and followed down the stairs after him.
There was soft chatter at the dinner table, mainly between our parents. The dinning room had green tile floors and a luxurious white wooden table with expensive chairs to match.
There was a big chandler hanging over the table with silvery crystals hanging from it. The walls were black with silver crests on them.
Despite hating the Manor, this had always been my favourite room.
I sat down quietly beside Theodore and picked up my cutlery. He always had a comfortable aura about him, despite his cold personality
"Amelia, stop slouching and fix your posture. Surely your mother taught you how to be a lady, did she not?"
My father scolded me and suddenly that sense of comfort faded away. I fixed my posture and stared at my plate. I could feel the stares of everyone at the table.
"Yes father, mother did teach me how to be and act like a lady."
So bloody embarrassing. I really hope Theodore brought the thing I requested. My father smirked cruelly and went back to chatting with the Notts.
I felt my cheeks burn with embarrassment and gripped my fork in my hand. I stared straight ahead and ate the food on my plate.
"Amelia-" "Did you bring it?" I asked in a low tone, cutting him off and bringing a goblet to my lips.
"Obviously, but I don't think you should do it anymore."
Theodore looked at me and pressed his lips into a thin line. I noticed this and turned to him, placing my goblet back down.
"What?" "You didn't respond to me." He whispered back to me and I scoffed. "You have seen my family, have you not? And since when do you care, Nott?"
"I just dont want you to overdose Ami, that shits addictive." "I'll be fine, I won't put you out of business by overdosing."
I joked and smiled at him. He, however did not find the joke funny and shot me glare. I looked straight ahead and found Draco looking at me with disgust clear on his face.
I shifted uncomfortably in my seat and looked down at my plate. I cleared my throat softly.
Shortly after our parents dismissed us, I led Theodore up to my room. I could feel the dirty looks Draco was shooting us but tried to brush it off.
I knew what he thought we did in my room but he never asked and I never bothered to correct him.
Perhaps buying drugs from Theodore could be worse than sleeping with him in Draco's eyes.
Theodore made himself at home and sat down at my desk, his feet resting on my desk. I dug through my dresser until finally finding my stash of money.
I took out 10 galleons and handed them to him. He started counting the money in his hand and I leaned against my desk.
"Right, here you are. Don't use it all at once, Amelia." "Yes, yes sure Theo." I said taking the zip lock bag with cocaine inside.
"Are you going to join me this time?" I asked as I poured some of it onto the desk and glanced at him.
"No, I'm more of a smoker, you know that." He smirked as he placed a cigarette between his lips. "Your loss." I rolled my eyes and pulled open my desk drawer, taking out a card.
After an hour it was time for him to leave. I didn't see him out because I had a really bad stomach and I couldn't risk mother and father seeing me high out of my mind.
I turned over in my bed, clutching my stomach in pain. I have had several of these pains before but they were never this bad.
The pain was too much to bare. I finally forced myself out of bed, I was still in my day clothes. I miss Dobby during these times.
He always cared about me, he was probably the only person in this bloody Manor who actually cared about me other than mother.
I walked down the stairs as quietly as I could to get to the kitchen. I looked through the cupboards for a glass and found one. I poured some water from the tap and took a sip.
As I raised the glass to my lips, blood started to run down from my nose. I suddenly felt faint. I groaned and dropped the glass to the ground.
The glass shattered and my stomach started to pain even more. I cried out and clutched my stomach. I looked up and saw Dobby standing infront of me.
"Dobby?" I started to tear up "Why did you leave me alone in this place!" I stepped forward, the glass impaling my bare feet. Tears fell from my face as Dobby just stared at me.
I felt nauseous and ran through the glass. I pushed slammed the door open and fell to the ground beside the toilet bowl and started throwing up aggressively.
"Amelia?" I heard a voice call out to me. I lifted my head up I touched the blood on my nose and slowly looked down at it. "Dobby?"
I whispered softly as I felt my head hit the floor and blacked out completely.
