After walking out of Steve and Howard's sight, Daisy leaned on the first desk she saw. She began to think back at how perfect her aim shots were. She was gaining progress from those practices with Peggy.

She didn't know she's been completely in her own thoughts, for about a half an hour.

"Daisy," Steve nervously walked up to her. She tried smiling, but she couldn't exactly at the moment. It hit her pretty hard when she saw Steve kissing that girl.

"I—I wanted to apologize," he quietly told her, "I'm sorry—I panicked and I didn't know what to do—"

"That was your first kiss, wasn't it?" she cut him off and played with her fingers.

"What? Oh, y-yeah.. it was."

I was hoping I would be your first kiss, her thoughts wanted to speak aloud, but she didn't know what she was really thinking, when did I start feeling this way about my best friend?

"I—I hate being angry at you, Steve." she looked up at his blue eyes, that were full of sadness.

"What I did was wrong, please forgive me, Daze."

She stared at him for a few seconds, smiling at the nickname that he hadn't called her in a very long time. "Of course," she jumped off the desk and stood on the tip of her toes, trying to wrap her arms around his neck to give him a hug. Gosh, he was so tall.

Steve smiled and closed his eyes when he wrapped his arms around her slim waist, and she couldn't help but smile also, each both feeling this flutter in their stomachs—something Steve's known since forever, and something very new for Daisy, but she loved the feeling.

Peggy watched from afar, smiling as she walked away.

Not breaking away from the hug, Daisy whispered. "I'd like to apologize, also."

"Yeah? Why for?" he hugged her just the tiniest bit tighter.

"For telling you that you were like the other soldiers. Steve, you're nothing like them."

They broke away, each feeling sad, wanting to hold each in their arms for the rest of eternity.

"It's alright, I deserved it at the time. . . "

Daisy's lips parted, wanting to say something, but she just nodded.

"I—I'll leave you to it," he told her.

Daisy looked around, she wasn't really doing anything, but she still agreed. She quickly reached up before giving him another one of her cheek-kisses that he's loved from the very beginning.

Both hearts racing, both cheeks red, both with butterflies in their stomachs. . . Daisy turned around and started walking away as she bit her lip, leaving the super-soldier to swoon.

Steve suited up the next day. He placed his guns in his holders, an extra on his motorcycle, his shield on his back. . . and before you knew it, the Howling Commandos have been taking down Hydra bases, one after another.
