part 5 chaos

time passed as the amulet finally finished. douxie raised the amulet as merlin says to the trolls,
"today, the amulet will choose one of you to defend you people,"

merlin then walked around the trolls as he said
"to hunt these trolls who have betrayed your kind, you will no longer fear daylight,"
"you will wield it as the trollhunter."

you grimaced at merlin's words, touching where the trollhunter last slashed you before.

ayaka. focus on the present remember?

you focused on ayame's words as you inhaled and exhaled slowly.

"for the glory of merlin.. awake."
douxie says as the amulet floats and goes to each troll inspecting them. after inspecting each troll it finally went to one of the trolls as the amulet says,
"rise, trollhunter.. and become"

you frowned abit at the sight of her. after awhile the trolls argued and everything seemed to fall apart as you sighed annoyingly.

"the amulet chose callista?"
archie says flying

"woah, woah, woah. wasn't Deya the first trollhunter?"
claire said confused.

you then jumped down from a barrel and walked towards them while saying
"callista is Deya. I saw her.. in the war."

they were suprised yet confused at your words as douxie then said
"either way, without the trollhunter, killahead will be a bloodbath."

you frowned once again, wanting to join the bloodbath. your excitement rising abit.

"i think i know where callista went."
Jim says.

"well?"
you said impatiently. claire then summoned a portal as claire and jim goes in except you since you didn't really want to meet someone who injured you before.

"dosen't history need him at killahead as well?"
archie says.

"don't worry i'm on it."
douxie says determinedly. he then looks at you and asks

"are you coming to the war?"
douxie asks you questioningly.

you then said with a small frown
"although i want to join, i'm afraid i'll meet my past self. she'll probably either attack me or hostage me and ask me questions. after all i know myself the most."

douxie nodded at you understandingly.
"well then, we'll see you at camelot. and.. thanks for helping us alot, i really thought you would betray us back then."
he said gratefully.

you then looked at him with shame.
"I.."
you looked off at the side lost at words not knowing how to explain you're situation to him. after a moment of silence you then finally said,
"I need to tell you guys something.. not here."

you then pulled douxie while archie followed behind somewhere where no one sees you. you finally reached a place where no one is at. you then looked abit afraid of what they might think of you but gathered you're confidence and confessed,
"I have this.. craving for chaos. i was created with it and sometimes it controls me to do wrong things.. i can't guarantee that i won't betray you.."

they both looked shocked but before they spoke a word you cut in and said seriously,
"if i ever.. betray you or do something bad, i want you to kill me."
