The Bookworm and the Owl(Bokuto Koutarou x Reader)

The scent of old paper and dust hung heavy in the air, a familiar comfort to Y/N. They were nestled in a corner of the library, surrounded by towering shelves of books, their fingers tracing the spines as they searched for their next adventure. A quiet hum of conversation and the soft rustle of pages filled the space, a symphony of intellectual pursuits.

Y/N was engrossed in a particularly captivating novel, the world around them fading away as they followed the protagonist's journey.  They were so lost in the story that they didn't notice the figure approaching until a shadow fell upon their book.

"Hey there, bookworm!" a boisterous voice boomed, startling Y/N. They looked up, meeting the bright, energetic eyes of Bokuto Koutarou, the captain of the Fukurodani volleyball team. He was known for his loud personality and infectious enthusiasm, a stark contrast to Y/N's bookish nature.

"Oh, hi Bokuto," Y/N said, closing their book. "Didn't see you there."

Bokuto grinned, bouncing on the balls of his feet. "Just came to see what you're reading! You always seem so lost in your books."

Y/N chuckled, a little embarrassed. "It's just a good story, that's all."

"Well, tell me about it!" Bokuto exclaimed, his eyes wide with curiosity. "What's it about?"

Y/N hesitated, unsure how to explain the intricate plot of their fantasy novel to someone like Bokuto. But something about his genuine interest made them want to share it.

"It's about this princess who has to save her kingdom from a dark sorcerer," Y/N began, their voice gaining confidence as they described the story. "She's strong and brave, but she also has to learn to trust others and rely on their help."

Bokuto listened intently, his head tilted slightly as if trying to picture the scene. "Wow, that sounds awesome! Like a real adventure."

As they talked, Y/N realized that Bokuto was surprisingly interested in their world of books. He asked thoughtful questions about the characters, the plot, and even the author's writing style.  Y/N found themselves enjoying his company, his energy a welcome change from their usual quiet routine.

"Hey, you know what would be cool?" Bokuto said, a mischievous glint in his eye. "We should have a book club! Me, you, and some of the other guys from the team."

Y/N laughed, surprised by the suggestion. "A book club with the volleyball team? That would be... interesting."

"Yeah, it would be awesome!" Bokuto insisted, his enthusiasm undimmed. "We could read all sorts of different stuff, and then talk about it afterwards. It would be a blast!"

Y/N couldn't help but smile at Bokuto's infectious enthusiasm.  Maybe a book club with the volleyball team wouldn't be so bad after all. The bookworm and the owl, an unlikely pair, might just find a way to connect over their shared love of stories.
