When we arrived home, I went straight into the house without saying anything.
I wanted to confront him but I didn't know how to. I don't want to argue, I just want an explanation.
After 30 minutes he finally came into the house with a big smile on his face.
Imani: why are you so happy all of the sudden?
Then his expression went dark again.
Hyunjin: Imani, I don't want you showing up to the company building with me being there. Also stay away from Felix.
Imani: why though? I was just breaking you all food and channie asked me to stay, so I did. Why is that such a big deal for you?
I said as I sat back waiting for him to answer my question.
Hyunjin: I know you and Felix have something going on.
I was shock. Why would he think that?
Imani: and why do you think that?
Hyunjin: because every time y'all are together you get all excited and close.
Imani: don't friends do that? Felix and I are just friends. Nothing more than that. You would know that if you were around more-
I was cut off by the ring of his phone.
He looked at the screen and smiled.
He walked away and went into our bedroom.
As I sat there, all I could hear was him laughing.

After about 30 minutes he finally came back out. Smiling cheek to cheek.

I grabbed my phone and it was from Felix.

I've never been to Japan. I've heard so much about it. Can't wait to go.
Hyunjin: who are you texting?
His deep voice made me jump.
Imani: Hyunjin why are you so close. Personal space please.
Hyunjin: who are you texting?
Imani: why does it matter. Anyways I have to pack a luggage.
I got up off the couch and went to the room to start packing my luggage.
That's when Hyunjin came in right behind me.
Hyunjin: and where are you going?
He said as he leaned on the wall with his arms crossed.
Imani; I'm going to Japan.
Hyunjin: with who?
Imani: why does it matter?
Hyunjin: it better not be Felix.
Imani: and if it is?
Hyunjin: then you're not going. End of discussion. Tell him that you're not going.
Hyunjin: it's already a done deal. I'm going. You know what. Why is it such a big problem when I try to have fun, but you can go out all night and be with anyone you want? Hyunjin you stress me out so much. Every time you come home and want to argue. I don't won't a toxic relationship.
He just stood there and eventually left.
Imani: yep, go ahead and run like you always do.
That's when I heard the door close.
I'm so tired of him running away. He never owns up to nothing.
I just sat there in silence. Wondering why he does this and if our relationship can even last long.
