Days turned into weeks, and the tension between Minji and Jihoon escalated. Jihoon was consumed by his music, while Minji felt increasingly isolated, her art losing its vibrancy as her emotions clouded her creativity. They tried to make time for each other, but their busy schedules often resulted in canceled plans and half-hearted conversations.

One night, Jihoon had an important gig at a popular venue, and Minji made a point to attend, hoping to reconnect with him in front of an audience. As she watched him perform, his passion on stage was undeniable. The crowd cheered, and for a moment, Minji felt proud. But when he finished and rushed off to greet fans and industry insiders, she felt like a ghost in the background, unnoticed and unimportant.

Later that evening, they met up outside the venue, and Minji couldn't contain her feelings any longer. "You were amazing, Jihoon! But I can't help but feel like I'm just... an afterthought in your life right now," she admitted, her voice shaking with emotion.

Jihoon's expression shifted to concern. "Minji, that's not true! You know how much you mean to me."

"Then why do I feel so alone?" she countered, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. "You're living your dream, and I'm happy for you, but I need to feel like I matter too."

In that moment, Jihoon realized how deeply his ambition had impacted their relationship. "I didn't mean to push you away," he said softly, stepping closer. "I've just been so focused on this opportunity... I thought you'd understand."

"Maybe I don't understand," Minji replied, her voice breaking. "I feel like I'm losing you."

Their conversation escalated into an emotional confrontation, where both of their frustrations and fears surfaced. In the heat of the moment, Minji blurted out words she didn't mean: "Maybe we need some space to figure things out."

The silence that followed felt deafening. Jihoon's eyes widened in shock, and Minji immediately regretted her words. But the damage was done; they parted ways that night, the weight of their unresolved issues hanging heavily between them.
