I still couldn't come to terms with the fact that we had to move, so close to the end of the semester.
New school, new environment, worst of all new people. I wasn't ready for this drastic change. On the bright side, I have Chloe- my younger sister.
Thankfully, we got enrolled into the same school, so atleast I'll have someone to talk to on the first day. Chloe was more outgoing than me, so she'd fit in easily. She doesn't listen to anyone and follow her own rules. I just hope she'll stay out of trouble when we go to school.
I on the other hand, was nothing like her. I like my personal space and I prefer being alone.
I swear, for a sixteen year old, she probably has experienced more things than me. I haven't even kissed anyone.
"Okay we're finish. Let's go get something to eat" Chloe said. She was doing late minute school shopping and I had to keep an eye on her.
The moment we stepped out the store, Chloe crashed straight into a woman, causing her drink to spill on both her and Chloe.
The woman shrieked, glaring at my sister. As always Chloe was ready to fight. "Are you blind" the woman shouted.
"You were the one who wasn't watching where you were going. Next time, take your head out your goddamn phone" Chloe responded, rolling her eyes.
Before anything could escalate further, I stepped between them, "I'm so sorry for my sister's behavior" I apologized to the woman, who I had just realized was taller than me and beautiful. Like super model beautiful.
She stared at me with her jaw clenched before she rolled her eyes and walked away muttering something under her breath.
I let out a breath I realized I wasn't holding and turned to Chloe who was looking at the woman. "I hope you trip and fall on your way home" Chloe shouted at the woman smiling. My mouth hung open at Chloe's words and I wanted nothing more but to just drag her away.
But before I could, the woman stopped dead in her tracks and threw the half empty cup at Chloe's head. "Keep your dog on a leash" she gritted, pointing a finger at me.
I bit back a laugh as I saw Chloe's face- her face held nothing but shock and anger, her face was wet from the woman's drink and stray strands of hair stuck to her forehead. I quickly grabbed Chloe's hand and we headed for the nearest bathroom.

Back home, we were met with silence. Not something we'd expect after reaching back so late in the afternoon.
