𝗔𝗟𝗘𝗫𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗥𝗔

Alex laid in her very comfortable bed , with her dogs on the other side of her and her cat sprawled out on the comfortable chair she had in the corner of her room. she was busy watching movies and eating some of the food Rosa made earlier when there was a singular knock on her door.

"come on in" Alexandra said as she put the movie on pause. Arabella walked in , not in her usual pantsuit or formal dresses anymore. "really? it's almost 1 am and you're not up yet" her mother scolded.

"because i'm lazy and i don't want to get up" she replied. Arabella shook her head and opened the curtains in her daughter's room. Alex just rolled her eyes.

"do you need me for something ? i'd like to finish my movie" Alexandra said as she pointed to her television with her remote. Arabella raised a brow. "you're watching a horror?"

"it's Fear Street" Alex shrugged.

Arabella just sighed and sat on her daughter's bed , with her legs crossed. at this , Prince and Chico lifted their heads and walked over to her.

Arabella pulled them onto her lap and petted their heads. "so , i saw on social media yesterday that you went on a date" Arabella smiled.

"why are you checking my social media?"

"i wasn't!" Arabella started. "it just came onto my feed"

Alexandra sighed. "it wasn't a date. we just hung out" Arabella hummed. "do you like him?"

Alex blushed at the words that came out of her mother's mouth. "don't deny it , come on" Arabella urged her daughter on.

"mom , i'd prefer not to talk to you about that stuff" the older woman scoffed. "oh , come on. we always talk about it"

"it's weird"

"it wasn't weird when you talked to me about Arthur" Arabella raised her brows.

"yeah but Jaden's...different. Arthur was just ... someone"

Arabella smiled. "if last year's Alex heard what you just said , she'd die of shock" Alexandra just shook her head at her mother.

"okay , yeah i like Jaden , i mean who wouldn't? but we're just friends. plus , he's just here for the summer" she shrugged and pulled Prince closer to her.

"why can't you just live in the moment? yeah , he's just here for the summer so what? that should give you more motivation to talk to him while he's still here" her mother encourged her.

Alex frowned and stared into her lap. Arabella sighed and put Chico on the other side of the bed before getting off the bed.

"your dad and i are going out on the yacht today. want to come?" she questioned. "it'll just be us , we'll have a great time"

"i was supposed to meet up with my friends" Alexandra stated. she kinda felt bad because this was some sort of time alone for her and her parents.

"friends? that's a first" Arabella teased. Alex narrowed her eyes at her mother. "mom" she spoke as her morher laughed.
