Divergent or Dauntless

Chapter 2

I slowly opened my eyes to hear shouting,more specifically my Mom shouting at me to wake up because apparently I was late,but I just rolled my eyes and tiredly looked at my clock and said "Mom we still have....5 mins" once I processed what I just said I looked at my clock again in disbelief and said "5 mins!" and as I was hurriedly trying to get out of bed my legs were tangled in the blanket and I fell on the floor face first and I heard laughing so I looked up too see my brother brushing his teeth and laughing at me so I threw my pillow at him and it hit his face which made stop laughing and say " Mom did you just see that?" but Mom looked angry at both of us and with just one look James left my room and I hurriedly got up and ran to the bathroom but as I tried to open it,it was locked.

I started banging on the door and told whoever was in there to "Hurry up!" but Maya replied back "Hang on I am nearly done with curling my hair." that caused me and James,who was walking past,to look at each other weirdly and James said "Why are you curling you hair,you're far too young for curling your hair,look at Chloe she's 18 and she still doesn't do anything with her hair." that last part caused me to hit him across the head and him to let out an "Ow!" but before we could say anything to each other the door opened causing me and James to look down at Maya in shock and anger and I asked "Maya what the hell are did you do to your hair ?" and Mom heard causing her to yell "Language and hurry up the choosing ceremony has already started." And all three of us yelled back at the same time "English!"

And me and James focused back on Maya and looked at her angrily and she said "But it's what all the girls my age are doing." James started laughing sarcastically and said "oh really,I don't care about those other girls so if you don't change your hair back to what it's normally like then you are not coming with us to Chloe's choosing ceremony." which caused Maya to look at James in disbelief and then she looked at you for help but you just looked at her and said "I agree with James." Maya instantly started protesting saying "But you will be late for your own choosing ceremony." and you replied back saying "Since when was this family ever on time to anything." Maya just stared at you and James with wide eyes and started sputtering but you and James just stared back at her expectantly causing her to roll her eyes and shut the door angrily while you and James smiling and high five'd each other.

For the next 20 mins the house was filled shouting,mostly Mom shouting at all three of you to "Hurry up!" and "Chloe you are going to miss your own choosing ceremony!"and was filled with you and James arguing about who can use the bathroom because James kept on flexing in the mirror whilst you were combing your hair,meanwhile Maya was rolling her eyes at you two saying "I thought I took ages getting ready."

Finally after 10 mins everyone was finally ready and running to where the choosing ceremony was talking place whilst your Mom was lecturing all three of you the whole way there.When you finally arrived at the choosing ceremony 30 mins late,you slammed open the doors to the choosing ceremony causing everyone to whip their heads around to the sound.

Now everyone was just staring at all four of you whilst your Mom and Maya was finding seats for all of you,James had saw some of his friends and stopped to talk to them while you saw Emma and stopped to talk to her and tell her why you were so late until you heard a high pitch and squeaky voice saying "Excuse me but why are you late to your own choosing ceremony?" causing you and James to stop talking to your friends and look to see who it was only to see it was Jeanine which made you look at James and start rolling your eyes at her whilst James was smiling.

But your Mom had saw what you and James did and slapped both of your heads saying "Sorry Jeanine but someone didn't want to wake up today." while she was pointedly staring at you causing you to roll you eyes and everyone to start laughing at you even Emma,Liam and Jack started laughing at you but Jeanine looked angry told everyone "Be quiet,this is all of your choosing ceremony it is very important for your future." now this time you,James and even your Mom was rolling your eyes at Jeanine causing Maya to start laughing at all of you.
