I saw him this morning, carrying a sack full of soil.
He stared at me for a bit, thinking I didn't know he was staring.
I finished my chores and went to my cousins house, just a few houses away.
I wore my slippers and walked out of the house and through our lawn.
I wasn't paying attention when I accidentally bumped into Him, lemon boy.
I quickly apologized to him but he just looked at me shocked and nodded as a sign of acceptance.
He walked away his hands in his pocket.
"He's so big" I thought.
I finally arrived at my cousin's house.
I immediately talked about what happened to my three other cousins.
They laughed and said "haan mo gamin kitkitan dalan mo" means that I wasn't paying attention.
We chatted for a while before deciding to watch some television.
It's the same news, about some unknown virus that's spreading.
This news has been around for years now, I think ever since I was 10.
We didn't really pay attention until the news anchor said "the Virus already entered the Philippines and videos of people being infected are already being posted on social media"
They showed a video of a man strapped on a hospital bed, acting like crazy, wiggling and kicking uncontrollably.
It was pretty scary to be honest.
My older cousin, Chelsea turned off the TV saying that it was too creepy for our liking.
I agreed.
We spent the hour chatting and gossiping.
I checked the time on my phone and it was time to go back to my grandparents house.
I said goodbye to my cousins and left off.
While going back I saw Lemon boy sitting on the bench close to his house.
He was taking a rest from all of those carrying.
Then suddenly Mrs. De la Cruz yelled at him to keep on continuing.
I always know that Mrs. And Mrs. De la Cruz didn't treated Lemon boy right.
Mrs. De la Cruz looked at me and smiled.
(They're not really speaking English)
"Hey there, Junior" she happily said.
"Hi aunt Rebecca" I greeted back.
Lemon boy stood up and started to carry more of the Sacks of soil next to the house.
"What are those sacks of soil for?" I asked.
"I need them at my garden besides the falls and Leonid helped" she replied.
"I think he needs a break"
"No he doesn't, it can keep him in shape any way" she selfishly said.
"What about your husband? He's strong why can't he help?"
"Don't push my buttons, boy" she annoyingly said.
"Okay" I said making a smug face.
"Lazy fuck" I whispered to myself before walking away.
I arrived back at my grandparents house.
"Apo, can u call that yellow haired Boy to come inside to have cookies and a cup of milk, he's been working non stop and I'm starting to get worried" My sweet grandma said.
I agreed and waited outside to see Lemon boy walk past.
Luckily he was returning back to his house to pick more sacks and I stopped him.
"Uhm, my grandma said that you should take a break inside our house for a moment and have some snacks" he looked at the direction of his house and back to me, then nodded.
I smiled and lead the way inside our house.
"La, his here" I called out for my grandma.
She told us to go to the kitchen.
"Your grandpa is here too"

I watched Lemon boy sit and shyly took bites of the cookie and sip the milk.
It was pretty cute.
My grandma asked questions and Lemon boy answered by shaking his head and nodding.
I watched my grandma try to make a conversation with him.
She sighed in defeat and my grandpa laughed at the scene.
She decide to open the radio for some music.
"The J30 virus is getting more worse, the virus already entered more countries" my grandma suddenly changed the station.
