Author's Note ~

This chapter has been done, but I've been sick and I wanted to reread before it was published, oops, sorry.

When both Future Douxie and Past Douxie interact, the past Douxie will be under the name Hisirdoux, Future Douxie will just be Douxie, that way there might be less confusion and we don't have to write Future and Past constantly.

This is a reminder because this is a new book in the series.

For those with this question:

The book updates at the end of every month. It gives us an entire month to type out the scenes, script, and details of the episode and enough time to edit, revise, and add reactions.

We don't want to rush as it would not be as good in our eyes, we get sloppy when we rush and try our best to avoid it.

We are glad you are enjoying the book!

The scene started roughly, reminding the group of the issue they had been stuck in. Numerous armored guards stood around, swords drawn as their horses neighed. The one guard standing front and center had spoken, and his voice echoed due to the helmet covering his face.

"What manner of sorcery is this?" He removed his helmet, revealing his face. His eyes were sealed shut as he swung his head, golden locks of hair flipping around until they landed in a neat style. The motion moved in slow motion as Steve breathed out, impressed by the man.

"Wow!" Steve stared at the man who shared similar features with Steve, with a love-struck face. Claire was slightly taken aback as she kept her hands on the crystal that sealed Jim. She trained her eyes back on the guard as Douxie spoke.

"Sir Lancelot, um–"

"Sir Lancelot?" Eli repeated in shock. "No way! You guys are in the past and living history! Man, this looks so awesome."

"Oh, no! Not learning!" Steve yelled as Aja let out a laugh.

"So we're watching their future that takes place in the past, there goes my understanding of everything."

"He's so handsome," Steve mumbled.

"Um, I–we–" Douxie stuttered as Sir Lancelot pointed his sword at Douxie, startling the boy.

"Wait. Aren't you Merlin's errand boy?"

"Apprentice," Douxie corrected, his face showing his irritation at the nickname.

"He's like an angel man," Steve whispered, leaning over, putting all his weight on to the cracked crystal that contained Jim. "Whoa!" Steve's love-struck phase was interrupted as the crystal cracked, stuttering in numerous pieces. Steve whimpered, throwing himself back as the pieces fell over Jim, covering him.

Mary scoffed, "you have to be joking with me."

"Who knew this past dude would look so much like Steve," Toby stated.

"That's why he's all googly-eyed over it, it's so gross."

Toby's gaze shifted towards Steve, taking in the boy's captivated expression as he watched the figure on the screen. Steve's eyes were wide with fascination, his brow furrowed in concentration as he leaned in closer, hanging on every word and movement of the man displayed before him.

Toby could see the cogs turning in Steve's young mind, processing the information with rapt attention. Every so often, Steve's lips would part slightly, a soft murmur escaping as he whispered to himself, lost in the world unfolding on the screen. It was as if Steve had been transported, his consciousness completely absorbed by the captivating performance, leaving the physical room around him to fade into the background. Toby couldn't help but be struck by the intensity of Steve's focus, the boy's entire being enraptured by the mesmerizing spectacle playing out before him.
