Today was the day I left to go to college. In all honesty I didn't think I was going to get in a year in advance but that's the perks of having your father sponsor Thayer University 5 million dollars in cash but I did earn my spot by scoring the highest in the finals.
I clear my mind from all of my prior thoughts when I see the Volkov's talking with the Chen's. “Hi guys” I say once in front of them as my parents mingle with Mr and Mrs.V and Mr and Mrs.C, "Hey Hila” Niko says as Sofia hugs me and that's when I hear the most self-centered person ever speak "How is she even here, wasn't she a grade lower than us?”
"She is right here, and she can hear you” I say in response to Jeremy. Jeremy Chen... What can I say about him, nothing good that's what. The guy was a walking aggravation machine every time I looked at him I wanted to just smash my head against the wall
But I came to a better understanding that harming myself over a stupid guy wasn't who I was...
...Not anymore at least.
"She wrote her exams early, with us.”Jace says, startling Sofia as I laugh to myself. "Jace, you gotta stop that, you're gonna give someone a heart attack before you even become a doctor” Jeremy puts his arm around Jace as they both laugh but Jace then apologizes.I hugged my parents and bid them farewell as we all walked into the large building before us and that's when I saw Camilla, after seven whole years. Sofia and I exchanged glances before we both scream “CAMIII” as we run off to hug her.
After we let go of the hug, a strangely attractive man walks up to her and wraps his arms around her waist… Uhmm what the actual fuc- “Hello Camilla” Niko speaks interrupting my thoughts as it lingers to this guy's arms which was coated in tattoo's… Now tattoo's were attractive to a point, and this guy didn't get the memo.
I always knew Niko had feelings for her, but I couldn't just bring it up especially after years. I knew since the day she left, I was asked to go get Niko because his parents were ready to leave but before I could walk any further up the stairs I overheard some of their conversation and it was pretty clear he liked her so I let it pan out and I found out about the ring.
All of a sudden mid-conversation between Niko and Cami this guy grabs her hand and walks away… EXCUSE ME!... “I'll catch up with you guys later.” she shouts towards us as that guy picks her up and tosses her over his shoulder as she giggles. “Did she just bail on us for a hookup with that guy?” I ask rhetorically.
