"Where is my coffee?" Asked a serious face Vernon in his cold deep voice.

" I-It's on the table young master." Maid replied. her shaking voice, as she saw some sort of ghost. Vernon just hummed and went to drink his coffee.

(A/N)

*Ever since the day his Father separated him from his mother and sister, he changed. He became cold, emotionless. He never laughed not even smiled. Boys at his age used to play at park but he stayed at home. He was home schooled. When his Father left his Mom, he cried and begged him to let him go with her. He loved his Mom. But his Greedy father who just wanted the money divorced his mom. He took him to Seoul with him. As Vernon grew he stopped arguing with his father as he knows it will only lead to shouting and fighting, which he was tired of.
Currently his Father is at China for some business work. So, it's calm here and he is relieved.*

Vernon was sipping his Coffee standing in balcony, his phone rang.

"Hello?" he asked to the unknown caller.

"Hey what's up bro!" Vernon recognised the voice.

"Sofia?"

"Yes Oppa it's me!" She said squealing.

Goshh Sofia is so pretty(⁠｡⁠♡⁠‿⁠♡⁠｡⁠)

"What it is?" He asked. His expression not even changing a bit.

"Still so cold huh.. btw we are in Seoul. I got admission in university same of yours." Said Sofia.

"Oh good." He said normally.

"There is so much unpacked stuff in our house so I am coming to yours big mansion. Mom said I should inform you so I called"
She said same casual tone.

"You didn't even asked my permission"

"I don't need one. That's my house too ok?"

"I know. Sorry. You can come."
Said Vernon.

"And yes my best friend Harin is coming tomorrow so we can go together. She is very kind and soft hearted. You should act nicely ok?"

"Why should I? Just do whatever you want. Don't involve me in that." He said making her sigh.

"Okay. So that's how you gonna treat me even after meeting after so many years. That's fine. But listen you have to drop her to university with you because I need to help Mom here in cleaning. I'll go an hour late, I talked to the professor. I'll just apologize her later."
Said Sofia with a scoff.

"And Why would I? I am busy."
He said making her angry.

"Hansolaa..~" it was his Mom.

"Mom" he said suddenly feeling his throat dry.

"Hansol, please we need to settle everything in here. I know you are upset but Mom loves you my son. Hm.. so, can you help Sofia?
Her friend is very sweet, she is like a child. Don't scare her. Hmm.. promise me? " she said in soft, calming voice which Vernon missed so much.

"Yes Mom" he said calmly.

"Thanks for understanding. Bye and take care." as she said and cut the call.

'How can a girl be like that. That can't be real right? What was her name? Harin? It sounds familiar. Do I know her? Why would I care.. huh!..' he thought.

Sofia's POV-

"Mom~ should I tell Harin or not? I am worried what if she gets scared of him? She'll be angry on me. What kind of plan is this! " Whinned Sofia.

"No baby she won't. I know my Hansol. He looks scary but he is still very kind hearted. You tell her when she calls you in morning saying she is coming to the mansion. So, she will have to go with him. I don't know if he still remembers her or not" her Mom said smiling.

"What you mean? Oppa knows her? Asks Sofia shocked.

"Maybe I don't know" chuckled her Mom.

"Really Mom.. fine! I'll figure it out myself"she said and walked away. Leaving her Mom who was smiling fondly at their old picture.

"She will bring his smile back''
