Time Period: End of World War Two
2nd POV
I heard news that the war was over
The city was overflowing with joy
You ran outside as soon as the radio told you the wonderful news. World War Two was finally over, and you were excited. This was for two reasons.
1- You were going to get to see your friends Ludwig Beilschmidt, Feliciano Vargas and Kiku Honda
2-you were going to see Kiku
Why were you so happy to see Kiku?
It was because you both had promised something before he left.
The clouds pass and I could see the star filled sky
But my heart remains overcast
When you got there you saw Ludwig and Feliciano, but no Kiku. You left home before saying anything else. As you got home you started crying, fearing the worse. You opened a window and started into the night sky, and promised to him and your self, "I will wait for you."
Until the day you return
At this open window, I'll be waiting
Always
You waited days, and soon those days turned into weeks. Every night you cried for him to come home, and soon Ludwig and Feliciano started to notice. They tried to cheer you up, but to no avail. You wanted to meet him again, hear him say your name, feel his warm and safe embrace.

At the moment you were with Ludwig and Feliciano, it had been a month since the war ended and he still had not come home. Feliciano tried to cheer you up with pasta, or letting you pet his cat(much to Ludwig's displeasure) but your mind wandered to the last night he was with you.
~~Flashback~~
"Kiku, do you have to go?" you asked sadly, and much to your dismay he nodded.
"Hai, i have to. But I wirr return. When i come back, wirr you be my wife? We can rive out our days together peacefully!" he asked in reply. You teared up and hugged him tightly profusely exclaming "YES" in and excited manner. He fidgeted awkwardly, not liking to be hugged, but hugged you back this once. You both drank tea and talked the rest of the night.

It was another lonely night without him. You held a picture of him close to your heart as you started to cry again. You had searched everywhere for him, yet he was no where to be found. You would wait for him though, even if you died you would wait.
Relying on your words
Yet another night slowly
Passes as I cry
You waited for him for years. It had been 10 years since the war finished. You were close to your breaking point, but you stayed vigilent. You spoke softly into the night sky hoping of his safe return. Your (h/c) locks flew gently in the soft breeze. You would wait forevermore.

Every time a new morning begins
I search for you again
You went outside to search for him again. You had started walking down the street when you felt someone hug you from behind. You became distressed, but when you heard the voice, tears welled up in you (e/c) eyes.
"I missed you, (Y/n)-san." he said.
You knew that this would be the start of a lovely new adventure.
