Zeus stood up "We shall continue the reading, please everyone go back to your respective thrones."
Poseidon felt weird, ever since he looked into the future his Once-Domain seemed to be more present than ever. Making him paranoid and wary, he didn't lie when he said to Hades about the Owl's daughter, something was going to happen.
Aphrodite took the scroll, obviously in their intent to read it, they started:
"We Capture A Flag."
Uneasiness filled Poseidon from head to toe, scales to tail, he shuddered internally. This is not good, his son is in danger, he can't do anything, his son his son hissonhissondangerdangerDANGER. Too lost in panic, Poseidon didn't notice the boy approaching him.
"Father?" His head snapped towards the voice, seeing Percy flinching back.
"My son." Poseidon finally noticed what his momentary panic had caused. The flames of the Hearth had diminished, not as bright or as tall as before, no doubt from the wind still racing around the room, the clouds of the magical sky-ceiling were black just waiting to let down a storm. The doors were open and the walls were cracked, they had hit the walls when they opened with violence, all of the gods were looking at him. Poseidon felt shame, he didn't know what possessed him, to feel this overwhelming panic.
"Father, is it alright?" His boy asked him.
"Yes, I apologize, I do not know what happened." Poseidon would beat himself up later for admitting to have lost control, but now he couldn't care less. Without Poseidon's knowledge, Percy had placed his chair, which was previously between Apollo and Dionysus, between Poseidon and Ares' throne.
Seating himself, the boy asked "Is this okay?" After noticing Poseidon looking.
Something inside The Sea God settled, his vulnerable mortal child was beside him, Poseidon could protect him now, Athena had no way of looking at the boy, Zeus couldn't touch him. "Yes, it is, my child." Percy smiled at him, he had dimples just like Triton, just like Pallas, just like Belle.
Aphrodite took the hint and started reading:
The next few days I settled into a routine that felt almost normal, if you don't count the fact that I was getting lessons from satyrs, nymphs and a centaur. Each morning I took Ancient Greek from Annabeth, and we talked about the gods and goddesses in the present tense, which was kind of weird. I discovered Annabeth was right about my dyslexia: Ancient Greek wasn't that hard for me to read. At least, no harder than English. After a couple of mornings, I could stumble through a few lines of Homer without too much headache. The rest of the day, I'd rotate through outdoor activities, looking for something I was good at. Chiron tried to teach me archery, but we found out pretty quickly I wasn't any good with a bow and arrow. He didn't complain, even when he had to desnag a stray arrow out of his tail.
"Where, exactly, had Chiron been standing?" Apollo looked at his lover.
"He was behind me" Percy muffled a laugh. Hermes was snickering quietly and soon the other gods followed.
