Chapter 1

"Pyramid Academy," I read from above a towering gate.

The letters were engraved in an ancient script that shimmered faintly, hinting at the magic woven into its very existence. But the gate itself was an enigma. Like it appeared to be shrouded in mystery and age. Ang ibabaw ay pinalamutian ng isang makapal na layer ng lumot, na nagbibigay ng isang napapabayaan, halos inabandunang hitsura. It was as if nature had claimed this place, wrapping it in a green embrace, and yet, there was an undeniable allure that beckoned me closer.

Di kaya'y joke time lang lahat ng sinabi ng mga babaeng yun?

Ito ang tinurong direksyon sa'kin nina Athena and Hera ng magpaturo ako kung saan yung academy na pinapasukan namin. Si Athena at Hera yung mga babaeng nakilala ko sa Elixir chamber. Yung mga babaeng pinipilit na ako si 'Verena Thiara Griffin'.

At first they were surprised because I didn't know. Good thing they remembered that a Verena Thiara has no sense of direction.

The place is very creepy because the academy is in the middle of the forest. I don't see any other people or houses, I only hear birds chirping.

I reached out tentatively, brushing my fingers against the rough surface of the gate. A shiver ran down my spine, not from fear, but from the overwhelming energy pulsating within the stone.

Whoah. Easy lang!

Pano ba mabubuksan ang gate? Wala bang security guard na magbubukas ng gate para sa'kin?

"Open sesame!" I chanted dramatically, pointing at the gate with a flourish, as if I were casting a spell straight out of a magical fairytale. I felt quite confident in my incantation, imagining the gate swinging open like a scene from a movie.

But nothing happened. Open sesame worked for Aladdin!

I blinked, waiting for the satisfying creak of the hinges, but the gate stood firm, refusing to budge. I scratched my head in confusion. "Okay, maybe I need to add some flair," I muttered under my breath. "Open, you majestic gate of wisdom!"

Still nothing.

I frowned, feeling a mix of embarrassment and determination. I took a step back, trying to gauge the gate as if it might somehow reveal its secrets. "Please?" I pleaded dramatically, as if it could hear me. Ang gate ay nanatiling matigas ang ulo na nakasara.

Am I crazy?

Kinurot ko ang pisngi ko para magising ako kung sakaling panaginip pa rin ang lahat ng ito. But no, this is reality, I'm here now in a strange world as a different person.

Feeling a surge of determination, I clapped my hands together and tried again. "Abrakadabra! Open up for the one and only Verena!" I proclaimed, giving an exaggerated bow, hoping that maybe a little humor would do the trick.

Still nothing.

Just then, a couple of students strolled by, chuckling at my futile attempts. One of them leaned against the wall, smirking, and said, "You know, the gate doesn't respond to just any chant. You've got to show some real magic!"

Ang fe-feeling naman ng mga batang it-

"Apertum Virtus!" the guy declared boldly, and the gate responded with a deep rumble, swinging open to reveal a dazzling world beyond.

Hala! Apaka-bias!

Next in line was a girl with a fierce look in her eyes. She tossed her hair back and shouted, "Apertum Flamma!" As soon as the words left her lips, the gate flared with light, and a bright path illuminated the way for her to enter.
