Dementors were some of the foulest monsters Harry had ever seen.

There was no reason a creature that destroys happiness and eats souls should ever be allowed anywhere near a school of children.

Meg would have lost her shit.

Aside from constantly being surrounded by soul-sucking monsters, Harry's third year went pretty well.

Professor Lupin was the best Defence teacher they'd ever had, and he enjoyed Ancient Runes and Arithmacy.

However, it was hard not to notice how useless Hagrid was at teaching Care of Magical Creatures.

Harry didn't even find himself forced to face Voldemort.

However, for some reason, he still did not manage to avoid being in life-threatening danger at the end of the school year.

Maybe he was cursed by something more significant than Voldemort.

Harry was appalled. He couldn't understand why Hermione had kept something as big as being able to manipulate time a secret for so long.

He thought after so many life-or-death experiences together, the three of them were past, keeping secrets from each other.

He was wrong.

Regardless, the magical necklace had come in handy to save his godfather.

~

Harry could not understand why Professor Lupin hadn't mentioned being one of his parents' closest friends sooner.

Now he was leaving, and Harry hadn't gotten the opportunity to ask him any of his questions.

~

Overall, Harry's third year at Hogwarts was, by boy-who-lived standards, pretty calm.
