3rd Person PoV:

Hiccup convinced Rayana to follow him to Berk to live there for now. When they land he leads her to his house for her to sleep there for the night. As they walk up the front steps Hiccup is explaining to her that his father is the chief of Berk and right now he is either asleep or he is still at his meeting at the Great Hall. They walk in quietly in case the first scenario is true only to find that his father, although partially true, is home, he is not asleep but looking over some papers.

Rayanna's PoV:

As soon as we saw Hiccup's father sitting at the dining table awake, we froze. He didn't notice us at first but then Toothless randomly sneezed and I am pretty sure everyone jumped as we were not expecting that at all. He then saw Hiccup and I was sure he hadn't seen me yet but slowly he turned his gaze to me since I was halfway behind Hiccup.

"Hiccup, who is this?" Hiccup looked back at me with a panicked expression and that's when I knew I had to introduce myself if I were to keep my identity hidden.

"Hello sir. I am Baylee from the Foul Slingers tribe. I was found by Hiccup in the woods on this island. I am very sorry for intruding but may I please just stay at least one night to rest me and my dragon? We have been flying and fighting for many days and this is the first time we've been able to get our chasers off of our tails. I can be on my way before noon tomorrow if that is alright with you?" I step out fully and tell my half truth half lie to the chief of this tribe. To say I wasn't nervous and scared that he'll see right through it and send me away right now would be a full lie.

"Yes. As long as you don't cause trouble you can stay. If you would like to stay longer than one night then that is okay with me. Make yourself at home. In the meantime I think I'll just go to bed and finish tomorrow. Goodnight both of you."

"Thank you, sir!" I called after his retreating figure as he went down the hall. A moment later we heard the door slam and I internally flinched but kept my composure on the outside. I looked at Hiccup and realized he was already looking at me admiringly,

I don't know why, but I felt a small blush creep onto my cheeks as they heated up. I just hope that he couldn't see that in this dim fire light. I looked at my shoes and brushed a stray hair from my face as I tried to control my heated cheeks. I don't know what is happening.

I heard Hiccup clear his throat and I looked up at him and he had a small smile on his face. He held out his hand in the direction of the table and said,

"Oh! Um... Would you like something to eat?Why don't you sit down? I can cook something up if you'd like? I've made plenty of meals for myself when my dad's been out of the house-"

"Hiccup!" I cut him off as he was rambling. I smiled at him and continued,

"I'll have whatever you want to serve. I don't mind. As long as it's not too much trouble for you that is..." I trailed off.

"Oh no! It's no trouble! Really! Here, I'll clean off the table and get some fish cooking."

He started cleaning up the mess of papers from his father and then went to start cooking as I sat down.

A short while later there were two large baskets of fish, and two small plates of cooked fish ready to be eaten. The dragons started devouring their food while Hiccup and I took our time to eat. It was silent for the most part. And I liked that. It gave me time to think about today.

I didn't think I could go from running (and flying) for my life to sitting down in a nice, warm home with a stranger and his dad and dragon eating calmly in just a few hours. I'm glad that this is how the day is ending though. With a full stomach and not freezing to death outside. It's a pleasant turn of events.

I glanced at Hiccup and I realized he possibly saved my life. Anything could've happened if I had stayed outside tonight. Especially after what happened before I came to Berk Island.

"Thank you, Hiccup." I said sincerely. He looked at me quizzically.

"For... what?"

"For being nice to me. Even though I am a stranger. And you didn't need to do this for me, but you did. So thank you." I smiled and he smiled back and said,

"You know, it's not really me you should be thanking. Toothless here convinced me to take him out flying so... he's the real hero."

"That may be true, but you agreed to take him out and you were the one to convince me to come back here with you. So... thank you both. You have no idea how much you have helped me." I stood up and went to Kiana.

Hiccup's PoV:

I was nervous when I saw my father home and awake knowing I then had to I stroud with him to Rayanna. But they seemed to get along fine. If you could call it that. I guess I'll call it a mutual acquaintance for now.

Anyways, when she thanked Toothless and I, and then walked to Kiana, I felt as though something is going to happen to all of us. And I don't just mean me and her and our dragons, but to everyone in Berk. I don't know if it's good or bad but I guess we'll just wait and see if these gut intuitions are right or not.

3rd Person PoV:

Little did they all know, that Rayanna is going to become vital to something bigger than they could ever have imagined.
