A Hidden Leaf (M!Reader x Illit)

Prologue Ch.0

BREAKING NEWS

The TV flashes on as every channel is put onto the news.

Wonhee: "Aww... My show."

In a dormitory in Korea, Illit could be seen sitting on a couch. They were using their downtime to hang out together and binge watch a show.

Reporter: "We bring you live footage of the kidnapping of 10 public officials."

The screen shows a feed of ten officials, all tied up and gagged. At least 15 men could be seen guarding them, all armed with assault rifles. There was an obvious ringleader standing behind the hostages, babbling about their demands.

Yunah: "Oh my God, why is that happening?"

Moka: "I don't know."

Moka and Wonhee cover their eyes. The rest of the girls watch in horror as the ringleader swings on of the hostages.

Hostage: "ACK!"

He falls to the ground.

Ringleader: "This should be enough to send a message."

The leader pulls out a M9 handgun and points it at the fallen hostage. The official had sat up and his eyes visibly widened. He shook his head wildly as the man cocked the gun.

Ringleader: "Goodbye."

He goes to pull the trigger, when suddenly...

BANG

Leader: "What?"

Off-camera, a shot rings out. All of the guards on screen look towards the source of the noise. The lights suddenly go out.

Leader: "MEN! GATHER UP AND FIND THIS PIECE OF SHIT!"

The feed was dark for a moment. There was silence, only broken by the terrorists' footsteps. A glint of silver could be seen moving around. It flashed throughout the air as something thudded on the ground.

"AHHHHHH—"

The loud scream was cut off as another glint was seen flashing through the screen.

Iroha: "What? Is the livestream glitching?"

Moka: "I- I don't know, I can only see small glimpses of something..."

Moka had uncovered her eyes when the feed went dark. Everyone was holding onto each other, each sucked into the feed, anticipating the next moment.

Minju: "Wait, do you guys see that red light?"

Yunah: "Hold on, I see it..."

True to her word, a small red eye could be seen pacing around the room. It was very faint and hard to see. The eye jumped forward as another thud could be heard.

"LIGHTS COMING ON!"

The light flashes back on as two dead bodies come into view. A silver haired guy stood on top of one of them. He held a kunai in his hand, stained with red. He looked no older than a teenager, with a bear mask covering his face.

Man: "What the..."

With no hesitation, the man threw his kunai at one of the men, killing them instantly. Then, the man brought up his hands and started to move them at incomprehensible speeds. At last, he ended the movement with two fingers pointed up, akin to a gun.

Bear: "FIRE RELEASE: GREAT FIREBALL!"

Out of nowhere, a burst of fire blew out of his fingers.

Moka: "Did he just spit fire?"

Yunah: "I, I think he did."

Iroha squinted at the TV as the rest of the girls looked shocked.
