Naruko Uzumaki leaned back on the wall behind her, watching horse drawn carriages graze across the lake. The students were finally arriving. Before they had left for the school, Naruko had been reading up on the history of Hogwarts. Now, some may think the words 'Naruko' an 'read' would never be in the same sentence, but the reasoning behind it was expected. To beat Sasuke, of course.
Naruko wanted to take pride in knowing more about the magical world then her ' ex -rival'. But it seemed to be for the general best that she had read about the place. Without the books she would have probably be dead from shock or some other cause by now.
'Speak of the devil...' Naruko thought, watching as her partner leaned on the wall, next to her
."Hn..." was Sasuke's way of greeting.Naruko nodded back, she knew they were both unsettled, wondering about what might happen in the coming year.
The silence was broken when Sasuke said, "Those horses... they're very odd..."
"Those horses?" Naruko asked, flicking her hand at the direction of the carriages. She absentmindedly noticed they were getting closer, it was almost time that the guards went back inside.
"... they look like they were brought up from the grave..."
"They're called thestrals" Naruko commented, not seeing the raised eyebrow from the Uchiha.
The blonde sheepishly scratched the back of her head before frowning and turning wawy from Sasuke. Old habits ...since his back its hard not to act the same.
Then why pretend? You're obviously not doing a good job, so why bother?
I won't go through that again...if I let him in and he betrays me again, i won't survive it a second time.
You truly did love him, didn't you kit?
Leave it alone Kyuubi.
"They can only be seen by those who have seen death."
"That's right, Uzumaki-san, they're called thestrals. I am surprised that at such a young age you can see them, but considering where you're from..." Albus stepped through the doors .
Both ninja nodded, of course they've seen death in their profession, it was part of the job.Albus smiled, "Ah, but if you'll excuse me, I need to get back before the feast..." he nodded to the teens and left.
The Anbu stared for a minute- the headmaster was very good at popping up at random moments...
"Come on, Dobe, we have to get to the great hall..." Sasuke said, nudging the girl and getting off the wall. Naruto nodded and both shinobi went back into the building.'
Something isn't right...'
When Harry reached the great hall, he saw two redheads waving frantically at him to get his attention. He smiled, walking to the Gryffindor table."What took ya so long, Harry?" Ron, one of the redheads, asked.
Harry absentmindedly noticed he was sitting rather close to Hermione.
"Fangirls..." was the short reply, but that one word had enough power to make the four wizards shudder, well, that and a black haired shinobi, having no clue why he shuddered all of a sudden
."How many this time?" Ginny, the other redhead, asked. There was a strange tone in her voice, but Harry couldn't match it with an emotion. Jealousy? What? Harry mentally shook his head, Ginny would never be like the fangirls, right?Harry sighed, trying to recount them all, "Well, I got about 5 poems, eight letters confessing their undying love. Um... I was jumped... twice, I think. Too many giggles and blushes to remember. Oh! And there were even a couple fan BOYS. They're getting more confident..."
