this is a super important author's note, well to me it is. i have two things to say. the first one isn't as important to the readers but idk i'd like to point it out. but the second one is really important to me and will affect the updates and all that.
1) thank you guys so so so much for 4.6k reads, over 200 votes, and over 100 comments. this means so much to me. honestly i never thought that it would get this many read, votes, or comments when i first started writing this. i love you guys so much <3
2) so, i tore my ACL and I'm going to have surgery. for those that don't know what the ACL does, The ACL is one of the four main ligaments within the knee that connect the femur to the tibia. The knee is held together by the medial collateral (MCL), lateral collateral (LCL), anterior cruciate (ACL) and posterior cruciate (PCL) ligaments. that was the ligaments do. so what the ACL does is that it keeps the movement of the knee limited. to the bones won't extend to far or do anything like that.
the way my doctor explained what the ACL does, was that it was the guardian on the knee and that if it were to tear you wouldn't be able to do anything with your knee. you can't jump, run, or do anything like that. if i wasn't athlete surgery wouldn't be as important cause it can heal on it's own. i tore my ACL in June and right now after a moth or so of just resting and no physical activity, i'm able to walk on my own. but since i am an athlete i wanted surgery so i could go back to playing sports.
the surgery will be early in the morning at 7. the surgery will take three hours and the doctors will put me under so i won't feel anything. the surgery will be giving me a new ACL. i will be going home that day too, so i won't have to stay over night.
anyways the surgery won't be until August 5 but i want to give you guys advanced notice. from the surgery it is a two week recovery from the surgery. afterwards it will take 6 to 9 months of therapy and rehab. because of the surgery and recovery my updates will probably be slower. i will still be writing and be on wattpad and i will be checking wattpad and reading from there. so you can keep requesting and commenting.
