You were like a drug to me; Temporary and short lived, yet addictive and poisonous.

You corrupted my every thought, turning memories into nightmares and nightmares to reality. I was blinded by your presence, unable to acknowledge the damage you were causing.

There's a gaping hole in my chest where my heart used to reside, a constant reminder of the emptiness inside me.

You're like a disease. You creep up, unexpected, prying your way down my throat, through my skin, into my lungs and bones.

You left me like you found me; broken and alone.
