"I pity the girl that falls in love with you" I spat as we stood feet apart, puddles of rain water beginning to form around us on the vacant road and side walk.

"Why"? He scoffed, insulted.

"Because I know that glint in your eyes will haunt her at every waking moment. I know she will devote herself to you completely, despite knowing that you're incapable to doing the same for her. She will give you everything she has and everything she is. She will love you unconditional, despite your bad temper and crappy attitude and irritable behaviour. She will never stop loving you.

I know what you do to people;" I continued, stepping closer and looking up at him through the dying rain.

"You crawl into their mouth and scurry down their throat. You bury yourself inside their chest and claim their heart as your own. But eventually you get bored of the same old thing, so you leave. You leave them to rot from the inside out. You leave them with a heart full of hate and thorns in their chest. You leave them terrified of ever falling in love or even considering the prospect of it." I could feel my voice beginning to rise, taking a deep breath and shutting my eyes, I reopened them shortly after, looking straight through him.

"You leave them broken, without caring at all. God, do I pity the girl that falls for you" I breathed, before turning on my heel and walking in the opposite direction to where he stood.

God I hope she's not me.
